He is a Christian-----specifically "eastern orthodox"------something like catholic like you. As for scriptural writings------that which the books are "chockfull" is

Dear RWNJ the Muslims who respect the authority of God, the Bible and civil authority including the Constitution
do not follow the old military war commands of Mohammad during times of religious wars and conquest.
That's like following Lincoln's orders to burn presses and hang journalists during the Civil War.

The difference is Civil Obedience.
The true Muslim believers have committed to obey God and civil authority, so they are peaceful.
That's how you can tell the differences between a Jihadist terrorist who doesn't respect "due process"
but will act as Judge Jury and Executioner, and a civilized human being who follows laws like everyone else in society.
Muslims are like Hindus or Buddhists or anyone else who has a cultural religion.
If they mix their beliefs with Govt, that's when you get Islamist regimes that are hard to check without Constitutional systems in place.
If theytake on Justice into their own hands and wage war, that's when you get Jihadists.

Most Muslims are followers not leaders of political religious cults.

They are in danger of being exploited or abused, as are other citizens
who mind our own business.

It's a relief that the good civilized Muslim populations far outnumber the violent Jihadists and terrorists
and even the Islamist regimes that are hijacked by a few cartels who then force others into submission against their beliefs and will.

The key to freedom is teaching and learnign Constitutional law to check against political abuses of govt
and Scriptural laws to check against religious abuses of church authority.

The Muslims are called to follow the same God Bible and Torah
as Jews and Christians. So that's how you can tell the true
believing Muslim followers of God from the corrupt dangerous Jihadists, terrorists and Islamists
who don't respect civil laws or rights of others because they are only focused on power through fear and war.
