Is USMB really slow lately?

/—-/ It happened on my PC this morning at 8:00 am EST. It’s has been happening more often recently.
Now the question is. Is it just us Patriots experiencing this? Or is it happening to anybody on the left. LOL

I want to believe it is just a internet glitch. Let's hope.

Anybody noticing this slow loading seems to come and go lately?

Yes. It was finally gone for a few weeks and now over the past week, it seems to have come back with a vengeance right around Thanksgiving since. Suddenly, it could take a minute for a simple comment or page change to load.

I held back from saying anything hoping that someone was just working on the site, updating it or something.

I've noticed it locking up again this past week. Go to reply, kicks back out the the thread, go to post, it hangs, then the server overload reply.

It's quickly devolving to what it was earlier this year.

Yep, I've experienced it as well.

My sig line is now missing, earlier the avatar I had in it showed the url of it, now gone.

Oops, suddenly it's back. It was missing when I made this post. Still no avatar.

The admins addressed this about a month or so ago. The site activity is essentially maxing out the server it runs off of and would require an upgrade. They actually lose money on this site, so it's just something we have to live with.

I think that was mentioned the last time.. What's it cost to upgrade?

Pretty much sums up USMB.

Does anyone ever discuss adding an annual fee here so that at least we break even?
