Is USMB really slow lately?

I thought I got put on slowdown for being a bad boy, but maybe not.
My internet and VPN is the fastest I've ever seen, lemme tell ya wut.
And teh USMB has been very laggy lately.

Have you been a bad boy. (I honestly haven't seen that.) But now that you mention it, they used to mess with unwanted members' accounts by slowing them down, making things difficult to load for them or such. That's never happened to me before but who knows. I could definitely be unwanted by a mod or two here.

But thanks for confirming what I've been experiencing. Apparently most aren[t experiencing it but in a weird way it helps to know I'm not alone.

I noticed sometimes late in the day the site seems to hang while loading and even has kicked out a 'server error message, try again later'.

Do you not think it's down to internet connection? Mine has been doing this for weeks. It's as though it hangs up for 10 seconds every so often in a day, every day.

Seems like it takes forever for some things to load if the links and such work at all. Is anybody else having this problem?

I am not having the problem on any other website.

Maybe. But there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. During the busiest times there can be no problem.

So ... the intermittent hanging of the server is due to increased traffic flow to the site this past week. We're not talking just a few people either, more like double to triple the usual amount.

Been happening for some time..... beyond last week.

I did think it was high flow as a possibility.

Yes, it is still very slow, with some pages not even loading, and just having to close them out and start over.

Yeah, and it's hit and miss. Definitely on USMB's end as other sites are just fine.

/----/ I rely on Finance.Yahoo.com because the site is easier to navigate, but ever since they launched the new format a few months ago, it's slower than all get out. I have high speed internet. I ran download/upload test just now. I'm not sure if this is good enough.
