Zone1 Is trump the Antichrist?

Why do you limit the possibilities to so few? It's quite possible to believe there is no god, but the universe holds the answers to unlimited questions that we are naturally programmed to ask and even though we are just a tiny speck among all that exists. Atheists don't always see themselves as gods, where they and the things that directly impact them are the only things that matter. You should actually talk to an atheist instead of just accepting that straw man as fact.
Either way, this thread is for those that believe an Antichrist is a real and current possibility.
Say Revelations was not true. We have self-serving elitists who take pleasure in interfering in people's lives and no shortage of the little people who will help them out. The technology is advancing more and more is putting us in a position to be denied things we need to live. If the ruling class is flippant about life and sadists, they could use Revelation and follow it laughing about it. We certainly have had major national powers with these types of people in our history.

Other than mankind, which of the earth's animals are "programmed" to ask these unlimited questions? How was mankind so "programmed" and how did all other animals miss out? We all came from the earth.

How did some come to believe an antichrist is a real and current possibility? Is it the same way some come to believe the earth is flat or that the sun revolves around the earth? Even with better information some still believe in a flat earth that the sun revolves around. Should it be left at that, or should better information also be provided when the subject arises?

Google provides multiple meanings for the term "an Antichrist." I can't tell if they apply to me or not. I'm not against the secular teachings of Jesus Christ, nor his human existence. But I am an atheist. So I say to hell with anything supernatural to do with being "an Antichrist."

Webster's provides only two definitions, the second being:

—used in an exaggerated way to describe a person regarded as a powerful and malevolent adversary

—usually used with the

With time this contrast hardened into hacker iconography. Gates was the anti-Christ, a man whose corporate stranglehold on the software industry had left it awash in ugly products.—Robert Wright

Some theologians are beginning to question trump's support from the religious community. So many of the things he says are the antithesis of traditional religion's historic beliefs. From claiming he has never needed to pray for forgiveness to claim he is the chosen one, it's reasonable to question how and why he has such unwavering support from religious leaders. He might be the Antichrist foretold in the Bible.
1. The Wounded Head That Healed
• Revelation 13:3 describes a beast whose mortal wound was healed, and the world worshiped it.
• Trump’s political “death” in 2020 and his dramatic resurgence are interpreted as a symbolic fulfillment of this prophecy.
• His return is seen not as a comeback, but as a resurrection of deception—proof that the beast lives.

2. Blasphemy and Self-Deification
• The Antichrist speaks “great things and blasphemies” (Rev. 13:5).
• Trump’s self-exaltation—calling himself “the chosen one,” standing before churches with a Bible, and accepting praise as a divine instrument—is viewed as blasphemy incarnate.
• To this theologian, Trump does not serve God; he imitates Him to deceive.

3. Deception of the Elect
• Matthew 24:24 warns of false Christs who “will deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
• Evangelical support for Trump, despite his moral contradictions, is seen as the great falling away—a sign that even the faithful have been seduced.
• The theologian sees this as the fulfillment of 2 Thessalonians 2:3: “the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed.”

4. The Image and the Mark
• Revelation 13:15–17 speaks of an image of the beast and a mark without which none may buy or sell.
• Trump’s likeness appears on flags, coins, and apparel. His name becomes a brand, a symbol of allegiance.
• The theologian interprets this as proto-idolatry—a precursor to the mark of the beast.

5. Lawlessness and Pride
• The Antichrist is “the man of lawlessness” (2 Thess. 2:3), exalting himself above all that is called God.
• Trump’s defiance of legal norms, his disregard for truth, and his elevation of self above nation and law are seen as textbook signs.
• His pride is not strength—it is the serpent’s whisper in human form.

Trump is not merely a political figure—he is the beast foretold. His rise, fall, and return are not coincidences but cosmic signals. The theologian cries out: “Come out of her, my people!” (Rev. 18:4), warning that allegiance to Trump is spiritual compromise, and that the hour of judgment is near.
You are nuts woman

This sort of shit belongs in the rubber room. This is as stupid as the people who called Obama the Anti-Christ.

No, you're the flat earther. Presuming a singular, "greater" being, not allowing for multiple gods or none at all.
Those of the LDS faith (of whom I have friends) believe there are numerous gods and they may well join this group. I am of a family where several hold no belief in God. My belief, based on reason (not presumption), is that of One God.

What is/are your own reason(s) of having no belief in God? (Or, a belief in many Gods?)

The important question is what is the antichrist to you. Do you believe it is real or just a made up story? If it is real, you can't ignore
Numerological and Symbolic Connections
• Birth Date Breakdown: Trump was born in June 1946. Commentators note:
• June is the 6th month
• 1946 contains a 6
• Combined with the January 6 Capitol event, many interpret this as a symbolic “6-6-6” pattern.
• Gematria Interpretations: In Hebrew and Greek traditions, letters have numeric values. Many use gematria to assign values to names or phrases like “Donald Trump” or “MAGA,” to reach 666.

I didn't start the thread, did I? Why do YOU care?

The reason I lack belief in any gods is there's been no empirical, compelling, scientific evidence found to support such a belief throughout recorded history.

Religious "Faith" is not "based on reason" by definition.

Religious "Faith" is not "based on reason" by definition.
Consider the definition of empirical: It is reasoning based on observation, experimentation, and experience. Religious faith comprises all of it. There is also scientific evidence that supports the validity of Jesus' teachings, not to mention Biblical stories that support the validity of the Jewish faith.

Julius Caesar crossing the Rubicon is another example of empirical evidence. Based on all that is known, it is a reasonable belief, even though there is no "scientific" evidence.

Understood. You should hide under your bed.

Which animals do you think evolved to the point of believing in and worshiping a deity? I would like to visit their church.

What does your question have to do with the price of tea in China? Do you have a theory on any other animal believing in and worshiping a deity?

Religious nuts choose to be religious nuts. Better information was provided long ago.

As long as many believe in an Antichrist and base their vote on such, it is a valid point of discussion.

Just curious to see how many think. Will those who claim to have unerring faith in the veracity of the Bible discuss it in terms they claim to accept as true

If Trump and MAGA are the antithesis of traditional Christianity then we are just fine for a while longer. If Democrats gain power, they truly are the antithesis of Jesus Christ and will usher in the 2nd Coming of Christ.
