Zone1 Is trump the Antichrist?

So we finally agree. Doesn't matter though. As long as many vote based on their belief that John was referencing modern times, it's a valid point of discussion.
As long as truth is present as well.

No, I don't think he's the antiChrist. But NGL, I have wondered if he's the one who precedes or is "preparing the way" for the antiChrist. I have at least 3 or 4 reasons for wondering that. lol

And interestingly, on this Economist cover of Trump from 2023, they used that very phrase "Preparing the way"

As long as many believe in an Antichrist and base their vote on such, it is a valid point of discussion.
Bullshit, you loons have fits if the religious nutjobs call one of yours the Anti-Christ. You only think this shit has a valid point because Trump.

Do you magas think the antichrist is real?

“is Trump the antiChrist” (According to the folks who sexualize children and murder the unborn)

Typical nut bag logic
The only ones rioting in the streets are Democrats. They are going against Jesus Christ by being violent. Therefore, the logic follows traditional Christians who support violent Democrats don’t follow Jesus Christ. While, LDS mostly do not support Democrats and therefore support Jesus Christ.

An antichrist has nothing to do with the philosophy of making America great again. That is a conversation that includes:
  • Should American jobs/work be sent overseas?
  • Should government and corporations hire/offer American jobs to citizens of other countries because they will work for a lower wage?
  • Should America build/manufacture in this country what its citizens need?
  • Should corporations buy up news outlets, especially local news outlets so they can control content?
  • Should lobbyists be able to maneuver government to the extent they do?
  • Should government be run by party "machines"?
  • Are term limits becoming a necessity?
  • Are mail-in, drop-off ballots a better way of voting?
  • Is peace through strength worth the cost?
  • Is throwing taxpayer monies at health care, homelessness, education better than an open market handling these businesses?
Is a thought that MAGA/Trump supporters MUST be distracted from addressing all of these and the best way to distract them is to start waving "Antichrist" in a rather silly attempt to divert and deflect? Calling him "Hitler" didn't work, so perhaps calling him "Nero" (or antichrist) is the next trick?

Here is a good motto for MAGA: Do not pursue a lie. Ignore it and move on.

It does if they think god put trump in the presidency because democrats are evil and want to persecute Christians. Don't believe that? This is Sunday. Turn on any TV preacher and see what they have to say about it.

Try the homilies by Bishop Barron and/or Father Mike Schmitz if you do not have the time to attend Catholic Mass. All homilies will be about loving God and remembering all who have passed away, dying in friendship with God, but are also undergoing purification. There will be no antichrist--and definitely no talk of politics or Presidents. Those who have religion/faith in mind have minds far from worldly issues...at least for an hour or two.

Some theologians are beginning to question trump's support from the religious community. So many of the things he says are the antithesis of traditional religion's historic beliefs. From claiming he has never needed to pray for forgiveness to claim he is the chosen one, it's reasonable to question how and why he has such unwavering support from religious leaders. He might be the Antichrist foretold in the Bible.
1. The Wounded Head That Healed
• Revelation 13:3 describes a beast whose mortal wound was healed, and the world worshiped it.
• Trump’s political “death” in 2020 and his dramatic resurgence are interpreted as a symbolic fulfillment of this prophecy.
• His return is seen not as a comeback, but as a resurrection of deception—proof that the beast lives.

2. Blasphemy and Self-Deification
• The Antichrist speaks “great things and blasphemies” (Rev. 13:5).
• Trump’s self-exaltation—calling himself “the chosen one,” standing before churches with a Bible, and accepting praise as a divine instrument—is viewed as blasphemy incarnate.
• To this theologian, Trump does not serve God; he imitates Him to deceive.

3. Deception of the Elect
• Matthew 24:24 warns of false Christs who “will deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
• Evangelical support for Trump, despite his moral contradictions, is seen as the great falling away—a sign that even the faithful have been seduced.
• The theologian sees this as the fulfillment of 2 Thessalonians 2:3: “the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed.”

4. The Image and the Mark
• Revelation 13:15–17 speaks of an image of the beast and a mark without which none may buy or sell.
• Trump’s likeness appears on flags, coins, and apparel. His name becomes a brand, a symbol of allegiance.
• The theologian interprets this as proto-idolatry—a precursor to the mark of the beast.

5. Lawlessness and Pride
• The Antichrist is “the man of lawlessness” (2 Thess. 2:3), exalting himself above all that is called God.
• Trump’s defiance of legal norms, his disregard for truth, and his elevation of self above nation and law are seen as textbook signs.
• His pride is not strength—it is the serpent’s whisper in human form.

Trump is not merely a political figure—he is the beast foretold. His rise, fall, and return are not coincidences but cosmic signals. The theologian cries out: “Come out of her, my people!” (Rev. 18:4), warning that allegiance to Trump is spiritual compromise, and that the hour of judgment is near.
Trump is merely a foul human being who successfully panders to the baser instincts of human nature.

Most folks acknowledge that he is also an incompetent:

I'm sure there are some that adhere to the traditional teachings of the Bible. However, by and large, many preachers who claim Christianity are nothing more than political commentators with a hard trump cult bias.

Is Trump the antichrist?

No, but TDS is certainly a mental illness.
Crackpots who venerate the degenerate sexual/abuser/business fraud/convicted felon are clearly deranged (besides appearing to be severely constipated.)

In survey after public survey, most Americans agree that he stinks.

It is and will be a valid point as long as many believe the Antichrist is a real thing and vote based on that belief.

No, he is not some evil incarnation. He has angered many.by being supportive of Judeo-Christian values and those who follow religion in a.meaningful,.peaceful manner. He said he was Christian, I can only take his word for it. His words at times seem to defy faith. He has fought the good fight in the face of great opposition, globally and domestically. This is going to naturally lead to a.certain disposition.
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn made an interesting statement in one of his books that hints at a modern fulfillment of Isaiah chapter forty five. I am hoping that President Trump manages to pull off the fulfillment of this one.

[Rabbi Jonathan Cahn] : "THE KING IN THE WHITE HOUSE
I turned again and found myself standing in front of the White House. I watched as an old bearded man in a long black coat and a skullcap entered through its front doors. He made his way to the Oval Office. I followed him there. In the centre of the office sat a bearded king with a crown of corrugated gold, a scepter, and a robe of white, purple and yellow. "Are you the one, " asked the man in black, "anointed to set the captives free?" "How could I be" said the king, "and not know that I was?" At that the king rose from his throne, walked over to the desk, opened its drawer, and took out a clay cylinder covered with symbols. He then walked outside the Oval Office, where a large golden eagle awaited him. The moment he stepped outside his appearance changed. It was now that of a man with short cropped hair, a light-coloured suit, a light coloured hat, and glasses. He placed the cylinder in the talons of the eagle, which then flew away. "Will you look at that!" he said as he watched the eagle in the sky. He then came back inside and sat down on the throne. His appearance reverted to that of the king. "I am he," said the king."
