Youre an idiot
Well we don't have to wait for you guys to die. The number of you we said would die, already did. Our number of deaths was so much smaller than yours. Meanwhile, you sit around waiting for us to die from the vaccine, and call me an idiot. LOL

Dangerous transmissions: anti-vax radio shows reach millions in US while stars die of Covid

Phil Valentine, a prominent Tennessee rightwing talk radio host, had released a song called Vaxman, an anti-Covid vaccination ditty based on the Beatles track Taxman.

Marc Bernier, a host in Daytona Beach, Florida, had declared himself “Mr Anti-Vax”. Dick Farrel, also from Florida, urged his listeners not to get vaccinated, and Jimmy DeYoung asked on air whether the vaccine could be a “form of government control of the people”.

All four men died in August of coronavirus. A fifth conservative radio host, Bob Enyart, died on 13 September, weeks after he told his listeners to boycott vaccines that were “immorally developed”.

behind the scenes thousands of small radio stations make up a patchwork of conservative media across the US that is enjoyed by millions.

In terms of the spread of misinformation, talk radio’s impact is unappreciated

I think what we’re going to find is that the real source of a lot of the most damaging anti-vax messaging was driven largely by traditional media: talk radio and traditional rightwing forces like Fox News

When we think about talk radio, the reason it has had such influence is the reach. It still is reaching the largest number of people. Fox [News] is going to reach a couple of million people a day. Talk radio is reaching 40 million, 60 million people depending on the day, maybe even more.

“The guys who are dying, you could treat them as [having] small radio shows, but they have really high concentration in their communities.”

These radio hosts can be even more outspoken than their equivalents on Fox News. Personalities on the rightwing TV network tend to be careful about how they address vaccine opposition, urging viewers to “speak to a doctor” and make their own decisions before getting vaccinated, rather than telling people outright to avoid the shots.

There is less direct anti-vax messaging on Fox News, but a recent report by Media Matters still found that 60% of the network’s vaccination coverage “included claims undermining or downplaying vaccinations”.

While radio hosts might be the public voice of that skepticism, it is a common misconception that audiences are “puppets”, Rosenwald said. Instead, it’s radio hosts who might find themselves “entrapped by what the audience wants to hear”.

At the beginning of the pandemic, many rightwing talk radio hosts were publicly skeptical, and, not wishing to lose listeners, and with them advertisers, they had backed themselves into a corner.

“There was a lot of: ‘Come on, this is no worse than the flu, are we really shutting down over the virus.’ There was a lot of: ‘Who the hell are these people to be shutting down the world,’” Rosenwald said.

“Now flash forward: if you’ve started off there in March 2020, when you factor in the general culture to begin with, skeptical of elites, it really doesn’t leave you a lot of room to then reverse course when we get to the point that there are vaccines.

“There’s no easy moment to say: ‘Look, I know I’ve questioned the public health professionals, I’ve questioned the whole thing, but you should listen to them now, go get vaccinated.’ To some extent the genie is out of the bottle at that point.”

For a radio station to acquire a broadcast license, it has to promise two things, Carusone said. One, not to overpower your antenna, and two: “Promise that you are fit and proper, that you fit at minimum the basic tenets of getting a license to broadcast.” But the latter is often little-policed, Carusone said.

“At minimum I think it’s a little bit insane that we’ve allowed the whole process about getting a broadcast license to become so pro-forma that it doesn’t matter if your radio hosts are out there dying from their own misinformation,” he said.

“From a regulatory perspective it would be great if there were some rules around this, but at minimum I feel like we already have an avenue, which is if the FCC just treated this as part of the standard license requirement it would help – by telling [talk radio hosts]: ‘At minimum you should be careful what you say.’

“They think they can get away with murder. And in this case, not even metaphorically any more.”

At least two of the five radio hosts who died had a change of heart as they became seriously ill.

In late July, after Valentine had been hospitalized from Covid-19, his brother Mark Valentine appeared on Nashville’s WWTN-FM himself.

“For those listening, I know if he were able to tell you this, he would tell you: ‘Go get vaccinated. Quit worrying about the politics. Quit worrying about all the conspiracy theories,’” Mark Valentine said. His brother died on 21 August.

Farrel, who died on 4 August, also changed his mind, his friend Amy Leigh Hair told the Washington Post.

“When he got very sick, he texted me and said: ‘This pandemic ain’t no joke. Get the shot,’” Hair said.

“He definitely admitted he hadn’t taken it seriously. At the end of the day, he was sorry about that.”

How would that help?
Don't they pay you for your home while you are alive and then they get your home when you die? If you go buy a home in the woods and you are going to owe taxes for the rest of your life, just do a reverse mortgage on it. Then you'll not only NOT pay taxes, you'll get some money coming in too. Assuming the payments are more than the taxes, which I assume they would be.

Maybe I don't know how a reverse mortgage works?

We should change it. Did you not know what I was talking about when I wrote TP?

It's like the word OKAY. WHAT???? Why don't we change it to OK?
Unless you want to build your Teepee made from TP(toilet paper)?

This reminds me of Christians since the days after Jesus. They kept expecting the end days were upon us. They died thinking the end days were coming. Martin Luther was born in 1500. He died thinking the end days were upon us.

And you will go to your grave waiting for us vaccinated people to turn into zombies. How many years till you apologize and admit you were wrong?

Because right now, about 1 million Americans have died of Covid. 800,000 were not vaccinated. The other 200,000 were old and sickly. You idiot.
You do realize that when you die, it is the end of days for you?

Yes I was just saying that yesterday. But then my friend said, "well I care that the rest of humanity lives on after I die". And I agree so do I. That's why I care about global warming and overpopulation. It won't be a problem in my lifetime.

As a result of the shrinking water levels, the west faces a looming water and energy crisis. Lake Mead provides drinking water to 25 million people in Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico — with the shrinking water comes a looming water crisis that will affect much of the Western United States.

And with the new Supreme Court saying the EPA is unconstitutional, we're fucked. If we have to wait for Congress to act, we're fucked.

And technically they are right. But if they are right, we're fucked.

If you put all the people in the world into 1 spot, shoulder to shoulder, front to back, how much area would that cover?

Today, the temperature where i live is well below the record, how can that be happening if every year the Earth is warming up because of the rise of CO2?

I was thinking about Jeremia Johnson. I don't believe he actually ate their livers. I think he spread that rumor to freak them out. I would have said I ate their eyeballs and toungs so when they went to the afterlife, they would be blind and could not taste. Maybe even I cut off and ate their penis'. Wouldn't you? Because if you read up on this guy, and thank you for telling me he was a real person. I had no clue. But if you read up on him, he had a lot of jobs. So he knew how to fit in to society. And even if he did eat their livers. It was in the winter when food was scarce probably. Why let a good liver go to waste?

Liver is one of the most nutritionally dense foods on the planet. It contains significant amounts of folate, iron, vitamin B, vitamin A, and copper. Eating a single serving of liver can help you meet your daily recommended amount of all of these vitamins and minerals, reducing your risk of nutrient deficiency.

He sounds like a very smart man.

I assume you replied to the wrong person as I had no idea he was a real person. I've never even watched the movie though I think my dad used to watch it from time to time.

Cause it’s so damn good. I wish there was still free land like that. And h went out with very limited supplies. Like he started with a 410 size muzzleloader. Didn’t shoot far or pack a punch. He ended up getting a better gun. He was struggling then he met another mountain man who taught him the ropes.

I watch a show called Alone. They can only bring ten things. If I went I’d take everything. A pack mule and a horse. All th necessary tools and equipment. A good gun. And a small gun for small game. Maybe even seeds to make a garden.

They are happy without tv's and cell phones. What they catch they eat. I think it would be so fun. Maybe after 2 years of doing it, it would get old?

I don't know about your current lifestyle, but I don't think I'd want to go two years without indoor plumbing...

Why do you feel you're deserving of an apology if someone else is wrong.

When I'm wrong (rare, but it happens) I own it and move on. Unless I've hurt someone close to me, fuck an apology...

That would be tough. Maybe not in the summer spring and fall when you can bathe in the local creek and wash out your dirty ass. Yea, that would suck.

Or horseflies and mosquitos. They would be the most likely thing to run me out of the woods.

I imagine I would take mud baths to keep the flies and mosquitos off. After awhile you must get used to it. Can you imagine a mountain man coming down from the mountain with just enough gold to get a bath, food, some supplies and drunk. Then go back with all your supplies. Yea I'd want to bring 3 years worth of wet wipes with me. LOL.

Where I live, Michigan, there is no free open land where a man with a horse and pack mule can go into the wilderness and live off the land. Like Jeremiah Johnson went off into the mountains and trapped and hunted. There may be state land but you can’t just build a log cabin anywhere you want.

Is there anywhere in America like this? Montana, Alaska? Where you can head out into the wilderness and build a log cabin wherever you want?
Prison.

Huh? If she was wrong, I shouldn't expect an apology? Please explain.

First of all she was told to mind her own business by our condo board members. Don't bother guests and ask them who they are here to see. She's not the police. Yada Yada. So she really should know better than to ask me about my friend who's walking around un attended.

2. I went back at her and told her that the condos next door don't want her going over there unescorted. She said "WHO?" I said, "it doesn't matter, some crazy bitch who should be minding her own business. That's who". She didn't see the comparison. She refused to see that she does what she doesn't want my friend doing. She said "I have permission". I said "so does he". She couldn't see the similarities between her going over there and him coming over here unescorted. So she's wrong, on so many levels. Wrong to say anything to me. Wrong because she's a hypocrite.

If she didn't go over there to his side unescorted, I could see why it MIGHT bother her that someone over there comes over here with their dog unattended. But again, we've all told her to mind her own business and tell it to the board if she doesn't like something.

So she should apologize for being a hypocrite and for not minding her own business and starting a fight with me over my friend coming over to our condos.

And, she lied. She said, "I don't go unescorted" when we all know she does. So she's crazy, a liar, a hypocrite and if she doesn't apologize, I don't want anything to do with her ever again. No one does. Everyone else is just smart enough to stay away from her. I befriended her. I walk her dog sometimes. We ride bikes. Hell, I had her spare keys on my key chain.

So she just couldn't help herself and rather than apologize, she'd rather blow up the relationship.

Oh, and she's fucking crazy and makes shit up. Apparently my other friend was driving my boat and came in a little hot. She said I did it on purpose. Swamped her boat. Totally making this up btw. Yes we came in a little hot and he was driving like an idiot, but she blows it up and says I didn't it on purpose and then the THREATS come. If i do it again she'll call the cops. So she doesn't know how to de escillate an argument. Well guess what? Neither do I! I've done it before. I apologized when she was wrong before. Never again.

And the last time we argued she cracked my windshield. I called her on it this time and said "don't vandalize my car again like you did last time" and she said "I'm making that up". Only one problem. I'm not. And she did the same to two other neighbors and she admitted it to them when she was drunk. Are we all making it up?

I said to her, "crazy renee, you've fought with everyone in these condos. Were you ever wrong?" And she ran into her place and slammed the doorwall.

Yea, I'm still fired up about it. I have too much to lose to fuck with that loser but guess what? I'm crazy too!
