I can’t think of any logical reason why any US voter would oppose a requirement of validating their ID to vote.

Are any USMB leftists/Democrats able to do so? Your party always fights it, and many of your states don’t require it. It’s a leftist position (and a radical one, way out there in left field. Pretty much All other countries require it.)

Yes, protecting the right to vote.

We have a long history of voter suppression with schemes such as Poll Taxes and Literacy Tests.

The people least likely to have up to date ID are more likely to be poor or marginalized communities.

What other reason could there be?

I don't see dems fighting to NOT show ID for entering planes, or hospitals or abortions.

Shouldn't you still have the right to murder a baby without ID?

It makes no sense to me at all, common sence would dictate that an ID be required to vote.

That said I'd not expect you to understand that as you are always against common sense because you are bereft of same.

Those are gone. Nothing to do with the topic.

I hear that talking point from mostly white woke liberals. Are they incapable of updating or getting ID? Most have ID for driving, work, gun ownership, alcohol, and all the other reasons you need it.

Where/who are all these marginalized communities who don’t have ID, or are being denied access to getting it?

Unless proven otherwise, I think it’s obvious that if you want to get ID, it’s easy to do, and most “marginalized communities” can get them easily, they aren’t too stupid (as you and many woke white democrats seem to think)

Since photo ID is required to do pretty much any kind of business or financial transactions in the United States, necessary to apply for welfare, for social security, etc., it would be a kindness for all states and the federal government to require photo ID to vote. For the very few--I wonder if such people actually exist--who can't afford to get one, it would be a very simple thing to provide a certified photo ID free to such people who can prove their citizenship.

Those who think people who can't prove their citizenship should be allowed to vote want to cheat. It's as simple as that.

$47 here in Oregon for an ID Card ... $64 for a driver's license ... Real ID™ would be extra ... we don't check immigration status for state-issued IDs here, so what good is ID for voting ... the workaround is requiring a valid US Passport to vote ...

Good luck with that ...

#1) Strawman argument and false equivalence: ID neither a poll tax nor a literacy test.

#2) Rank bigotry: the presumption that the poor and "marginalized" are too stupid and/or lazy to get and ID, which is free of charge.
