Is there a humane way to kill someone?

If the government believes there are good reasons to murder someone, one shouldn't be surprised citizens decide the same...hello most violent society in the modern world...at least.

Ya Ya the USA is the worst country on earth. That is until you look at Russia, the squalor of Great Britain ,the poverty of South America the corruption and tribal warfare of Africa.Seems to me the only country getting along might be Australia. But I'd imagine you would find fault with them too.

There are several relatively painless methods, the grain alcohol enema comes to mind, but that would just be cruel I guess.

Why is it that liberals that want everyone else to consider a 6 month fetus an unviable tissue mass but cannot consider a person that murders with impunity as anything but an unviable citizen

are these not two sides of the same coin?

When the Constitution was written the death penalty method that was used was hanging or being shot, why was that not considered cruel and unusual punishment by the Founding Fathers and Mothers? And why can't we just do it that way again?

The same way we euthanize dogs and cats.

Barbiturates and an anti-seizure drug mix. Go right to sleep.

These state prisons need to hire a competent panel of anesthesiologists and heart specialists. They are making it way harder than it should be -- it's not easy to stop the heart in a non-violent and mostly painless manner, but they keep screwing it up.

Dr. Kevorkian figured it out.

Lethal injections work well when you can get the right mix of quality drugs. The anti-death penalty crowd has made it harder and harder for states to do this by putting enough pressure on the companies that made the drugs to quit selling them to states. They have had to look for alternative drugs. The agonizing deaths can be laid at the feet of the anti-death penalty folks. Ironic, no?

And here we are discussing how to administer the death penality again, which is what they want. They are hoping to turn enough people against the death penility that it will go away.

No they aren't.

Add in we have a very imperfect legal system that is riddled with racism.

You can give someone their life back if errors are found and you didn't execute them.

That isn't possible after an execution.

Perhaps this way!

Civilized nations should not be killing prisoners.

I laugh at you.
Civilized nations shouldn't be killing the unborn children.......so we aren't not a civilized nation.

But, a firing squad would do the trick....quickly

Fetuses are not children.

Children are Children.

And you guys really should do some self reflection.

We have a mess of children fleeing certain death from countries the US took big shits in.

And you folks want them to go back.

To die.

Think on that.

They don't do lethal injections like they did in the good old days.....

That's literally true. The drug companies stopped providing the old lethal injection drugs. This was a new concoction, and has failed twice now.

how can you say it failed ? those asshats are DEAD, and that is all that matters.

The death penalty is very an ambiguous thing. You can be for or against, but our justice system has too many shortcomings to speak unequivocally. I mean that corruption and imperfection of the system leads to the fact that many innocent people have been executed. I personally believe that we should not spend money to serial killers and it makes no sense to wait for their repentance
