In the 1970s, self-acclaimed war hero and pompous ass John Kerry threw somebody's (apparently not his own) war medals over the White House fence in just one of many protests against the Vietnam War.
The response is unknown, as the protest went on.
Nearly 40 years later, someone threw a box of tea bags over the same fence onto the White House lawn, in protest of the rising tide of socialism, and the entire tea party in Washington was shut down by the Secret Service.
Now you tell me, the White House Lawn is many many acres, about 16 acres to be exact...
So why is it in the 70s they didn't end the protests as violent gas bombing, anthrax throwing terrorists...even though the protests in the 70s were so bad that the White House had machine gun nests posted in case they turned ugly.
But, today, when such force is not necessary, and the tea parties are clearly non-violent...
Secret Service feels a need to shut-down a tea party at any excuse it can find, because a tea bag landed 1,000 feet from the white house.
That little tea bag's gonna blow up the President! OH NOES
Don't try and justify it by "terrorism" or some crap...terrorists drive buses into buildings and demolish them, they don't hurl their anthrax laced letter bombs from 2,000 feet away.
