Is Talent and ability to accomplish major goals in life something that Trump (and his supporters) against?

Hey Luckyone, do you think shutting down the border to the illegal invasion of millions is good for America?

Luckyone: Dunno, let me PM Isaac Hayes to see what he says. Oh shit, turns out he's been dead since 2008.

:cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo:

Hey Luckyone, what is your thoughts on Trump negotiating the end to 6 wars around the world?

Luckyone: Dunno, I'll have to ask Prince what I think. Dangblammit! He dead too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post #8 has nothing to do with my post. What I stated was the way I've thought
for the past 40 years. Has nothing to do with Trump. I just don't need or want
the 'egos' telling me how I should think or vote.
You are a good minion, and like to be led around without thought.
You'll get used to socialism/communism some day. I won't.
This OP has nothing to do with following the opinions of these people, even though Americans in general do follow what they people they respect say. Having said that, this OP is more about the fact that Trump supporters are debasing and panning these people simply because they have voiced their negative opinions on Trump. You don't have to follow or agree with their opinions, but you should at least respect their opinion, simply because these people have been doer's and accomplishers, which is what Republicans in the past have always respected and supported.

Why are they no longer respecting these people (they are debasing them because they oppose Trump)? Why has life's accomplishment no longer an important platform for the Trump supporters?

Can you answer this SIMPLE question?

Trump is righting the wrongs of past lib policy

And that's driving you people nuts
That (Trump's ability and accomplishments or not) is not what this OP is about.

Do you have the ability to read and interpret words correctly? See all my posts on this thread, so that it can clear up in your mind what this OP is about!

Do you have the ability to do that?

What a stupid thread. You can't even keep it consistent with your stupid premise. You propose "Is talent and ability to accomplish goals in life something Trump (and his supporters) against?" You then end your tortured opinion piece with "Is this (supporting one person and nothing else being important) what the American Dream has become (according to the Far Right)?" Obviously a different question.

Aside from being a very poor writer, your opinions don't even make sense. It is your Leftist Democrat Party that celebrates mediocrity with DEI and a host of other talent squashing policies. And supporting Trump is by definition supporting the American Dream. That is what Make America Great Again means.

Stick to reading stock charts, you suck at politics and writing in general.

He also sucks at his stock analysis.

Dude, try reading my first post, this time comprehend what I posted.
You on the other hand, stated a list of those that YOU believe in.
Then instead of stating the opposite side, you said there are 10. You did no research,
just threw out a number.. You are being disingenuous.

This is an opinion piece (mine). It is both an opinion but a question as well.

"Is talent and ability to accomplish goals in life something Trump (and his supporters) against?

This morning when I heard the news that Robert Redford died yesterday, this thought (the OP question) came into my mind. Robert Redford was vocally against Trump and his goals, but so are a huge amount of people that have shown high talent, have accomplished major goals in life, and are generally not only respected but lauded by most Americans.

Here is a partial list of them:
  • SINGERS
  • The Rolling Stones
  • Neil Young
  • Adele
  • Rihanna
  • The White Stripes
  • Isaac Hayes
  • Elton John
  • Panic
  • Prince .
  • Foo Fighters
  • Queen
  • John Fogerty
  • Beyoncé
  • Taylor Swift .
  • Bruce Springsteen
  • Lady Gaga
  • Katy Perry
  • Adele
  • Aerosmith
  • Celine Dion
  • Guns N' Roses
  • Jack White
  • John Legend
  • Linkin Park
  • Madonna
  • Pharrell Williams
  • R.E.M.
  • Village People
  • ACTORS
  • Robert De Niro
  • Mark Buffalo
  • George Clooney
  • Eva Longoria
  • America Ferrera
  • Kerry Washingtom
  • Julia Roberts
  • Rosie O'Donnell
  • Bette Midler
  • John Cusack
  • MILITARY LEADERS
  • John Bolton
  • Dan Coats
  • Mark Esper
  • John Kelly
  • Jim Mattis
  • H.R. McMaster
  • FORMER PRESIDENTS
  • Barack Obama
  • George W. Bush
  • Bill Clinton
  • Jimmy Carter
On the other side of the coin, the amount of talented and well-known singers/actors/military leaders/ex-presidents that have supported and lauded Trump, is a very small amount (less than 10).

On top of all of this, one thing that has also surprised me to the nth degree, is that those Americans that have achieved great success in life and are generally lauded and respected by Americans, have been debased and pissed-on by Trump supporters (across the board). To me, that means that having worked hard and having had the ability to reach one's goals in life has no importance to Trump supporters. That earning the respect and good treatment by Trump supporters, we all have to support Trump.............or otherwise we are garbage.

Is this (supporting one person and nothing else being important) what the American Dream has become (according to the Far Right)?
I'm really glad you're on the other side. This may be the best OP you've ever written.

You should definitely run your life based on the advice of those people in the OP.

I mean, you obviously have already developed a crippling drug habit...

Several of those aren't even Americans, nimrod.
Barack Obama, Celine Dion, wait a minute.
Queen and Isaac Hayes have been dead for years, you stupid sumbitch!
There's more ridiculous names in your list as well. Damn, you're a retard!

You have to be really desperate in life to support Trump. That is a whole bunch of losers but not celebrities. That pretty much explains the OP's observation.

Full disclosure, I loved me some Isaac Hayes and that's why I knew that, and "Salty Chocolate Balls" too!
Two tablespoons of Cinnamon..and 2 or 3 egg whites..half a stick of butter..melted..
Hey everybody have you seen my balls? They're big and salty and brown.
If you ever need a quick pick-me-up just stick my balls in your mouth!
Suck on my chocolate salty balls. Stick 'em in your mouth and suck 'em!

I think we need to separate two things here: talent and accomplishment versus political opinion.

I can fully appreciate the skill of a great singer, actor, or even a political leader, without feeling obligated to adopt their personal views. Success in one area of life doesn’t necessarily make someone a guide for everyone else’s political decisions. We all come from different experiences, backgrounds, and environments that shape how we see the world, and that’s where our political beliefs naturally diverge.

To me, it isn’t about being “against” someone’s success or talent if I disagree with their political perspective. I can admire Robert Redford as an actor, or Taylor Swift as a performer, and still think for myself when it comes to who I support as president. Reducing it down to “you must agree with them politically or else you hate their talent” seems shallow.

In fact, it feels less like Trump supporters devaluing talent, and more like some celebrities using their platforms to criticize Trump, which in turn creates tension. Many of us don’t base our votes on what a celebrity thinks—just as they’re free to speak, we’re free to weigh their views however we see fit.

At the end of the day, the American Dream has always been about individuality: the freedom to pursue your own path, develop your talents, and hold your own views. I don’t need to agree politically with someone in order to celebrate their accomplishments, and I don’t need their endorsement to decide what’s best for me or the country.

Probably wouldn't hurt to weed out those that were born into the right family, or is that considered a talent and/or accomplishment?

Yet, you did. Too bad you weren't like Clooney whose only talent was being born into the right family.
Clooney's not a bad actor. Not my favorite American.
His claim to fame is his aunt was hot. He's been a good actor, though.
So have porn stars, I guess. :dunno:
I don't listen to either when it comes to American policy and politics.
That's serious business those types probably don't know much about because they live in Fantasyland.

He has his merits, but probably not. Probably never would have got the break.
There's a guy that got the break that really was not out for that but they pulled him in.
That guy's name was James Garner. He was doing the floors on Hollywood sets and they cast him.
