For the majority of republicans the term "quid pro quo" is just some kind of incomprehensible lawyer talk commies made up to make them feel stupid.

it's what happens in every administration since federal aid has been given to a foreign country. You know this right? We the US will give them money for some favor. for fking ever. Or, are you saying that the dems only give them money for no reason? here's 1.5 billion enjoy!!! is that what you're insinuating?

Every dollar given to a foreign government was a quid pro quo. every single dollar.

It's a shame people have to explain to you that proper channels exist to deal with other countries in such a way to avoid things like this. Had the state department had the final say as it should Trump would not be in trouble. Blame him for trying to be the entire executive branch and ignoring his advisors.

If he was to find something, he could call up Trump and tell him that he's got some really good dirt on Biden, but in order for Xi to give it to Trump, Trump would have to lift the sanctions.
