That I can agree but he should know it's not gonna happen without WWIII.
No, like most megalomaniacs, he thinks he’s the smartest person on earth and that he can cozen the rest of the world until it gives him what he wants.

"LONDON -- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko -- a close ally of President Vladimir Putin -- warned that the Kremlin 'will never' accept a European troop deployment to Ukraine, as Moscow and Kyiv continue to maneuver for advantage in U.S.-sponsored peace negotiations."

Rightly or wrongly, Putin believes Europeans have every intention of dragging Ukraine into the EU/NATO orbit which a vast majority of Russians regard as an existential threat.

Russia's conditions for peace haven't changed much since 2022:

Peace negotiations in the Russian invasion of Ukraine - Wikipedia.

"On 28 December 2022, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that peace talks with Ukraine would only resume if it recognized Russia's sovereignty over the annexed and partially occupied regions.<a href="Peace negotiations in the Russian invasion of Ukraine - Wikipedia"><span>[</span></a>"

It seems highly likely any Ukrainian leader who agreed to this condition would face another existential threat from his domestic Nazi detractors.
If by “his domestic Nazi detractors” you mean the Ukrainian people, yes. Ukraine can no more accept the taking of part of its country by Russia than the Union could accept the secession of the Confederacy.

Dear Marc,

Putin has been trying to reach a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine Shit Show since 2014 and before. That's what the Minsk Agreements were, and the US & NATO played along with bad intentions, as revealed by Merkel and others years later. You were probably snoozing when all that happened. The US & NATO prefer warfare to diplomacy because there is more $ in it, for both grifters like Biden & Co and for old fashioned war profiteers.
Putin’s “diplomatic solution” is like a Mafia enforcer saying “that’s a nice country you have there, it would be a shame if someone conquered it”. Like Hitler, Stalin and Tojo, he wants a peace defined by him getting everything he wants.

Which foreign power instigated a coup in Richmond that led to the US Civil War in the same way the US-backed Maidan protests inspired ethnic-Russians to demand autonomy from their coup government?

What do you imagine Ukrainians can do about evicting Russians from the 20% of Ukraine they currently occupy? When I referred to "Nazi detractors" I meant domestic Ukrainian militias like Right Sector who have made it clear they will never accept their loss to Russia.

I doubt the average Ukrainian will accept occupation of twenty percent of their country. At best Trump will get a negotiated cease fire in place while both sides train and rearm for the resumption of hostilities. Neither Putin nor Ukraine will accept the other’s minimum conditions for a lasting peace. At a minimum Ukraine wants ties to the west and Putin won’t accept that. That is the issue that started the war in the first place and only defeat of one side or the other will resolve it.

A coup in Richmond? What are you talking about?

Ethnic Russian separatists is a Moscow promoted myth.

These “ethnic Russians” did not rise up in support of Moscow when the invasion was launched.

And the “citizens” of the fake republics are now being forces to take Russian passports.

Conquest, not liberation, is the Kremlin’s objective.

I believe Putin wants peace. He probably thought the war would be a quick
conflict, not a 3+ year quagmire. He has lost a generation of men.
Then all he has to do is retreat.

He’s interested in peace. As long as he gets what he wants
Putin is desperate for peace

But he just wants people to stop shooting at him.
Let me keep my captured territory and stop attacking me.

Trump says Zelensky has no cards
That is because Trump gave all the negotiating cards to Putin

No NATO membership, no more U.S. support of Ukraine, ease up sanctions

Just keep funding the war and Ukraine will end up with nothing.
Putin does not have any more cards except for China, Iran, and N Korea.
Liberals are looking forward to WWIII, it seems.

Make clear to Putin that he will never win.
The West will continue supplying Ukraine as long as it takes. Tell him if he keeps up this war, we will give Ukraine NATO membership.

Offer Putin a way out.
Return half of your captured territory.
No NATO membership but a guarantee of NATO military forces if he attacks again
Gradual reduction of sanctions if Russia complies over time.

Give Ukraine NATO membership? :laughing0301:
It's the most corrupt nation in Europe.

They have immense agricultural capabilities

Perfect NATO partner

In the real world, Ukraine is more capable of fighting the Russian threat than any NATO partner

Well, as long as you have the USA sending munitions and cash. :smoke:
Both are running out of men.
Ukraine is not doing too well with Russia over the last few days.
Putin, as usual, is giving Trump the finger :fu:

Escalate the violence as Trump begs him for peace
