People forget that TV used to be far more censored and regulated than it is now. Spewing editorial hate on mainstream television would never have flown 50, 60 or 70 years ago. I'm surprised that people on the left have forgotten that. I mean, they mentioned it with social media that the companies have the right to do as they wished within its policies. Now it's being used to go after people on their side. We were told that freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from accountability. So, this to me, can be seen as Jimmy's accountability for using his free speech. Since he works under ABC/Disney, he can ask Roseanne or Gina Carano, also ABC/Disney employees at one time, about how it feels to be held accountable for comments they made.
