Is it possible that Trump loses the fire in his belly at a time he most needs to fight?

He has already decided to chage his speech to a more consiliatory tone. I'm not saying he is wrong in doing so, but is it possible that he loses his edge and that fire in his belly after this failed assassination attempt and just months before the election? A more presidential Trump is great, especially a unifier the West could use. However, the fighter that America.so desperately needs and wants to support cannot lose his mojo. Thoughta?

Nah. Trump is naturally combative. Even after an ego death like losing the election, he pouted for a while and then come back with the same hapless lies and random bullshit.

Give him a bit of time and he'll be back to the same schtick he's been pushing since at least 2012.

Well he needs to find a balance. His campaign team have him more mature this time around and his outreach has been better. I suppose who he chooses for V.P will be telling. If it is Rubio or Scott, or the longer shots Tulsi Gabbard, or Vivek the W.H is all but his IMO.

Trump is not particularly adaptive. He pushes a pretty specific brand of populism. He's almost 80 years old. Change is not a hallmark of that age in general or Trump in particular.

Too much money to be made. Too many right wing pigeons to pluck. And the only way he stays out of jail is to become President again. Can’t stop now...

Gosh, I don't know.... what if that stuttering ****, that bed-shitting vegetable completes 2 sentences in the next few months... without conspicuously shitting its pants or falling off a stage?

That could take the fire out of getting shot in the head and coming up with a fist pump. President Trump needs to stay on his game!

Good nite young bidophile.... speedy recovery!

A conservative republican is a 'bidophile'?

You leftards are completely full of shit.

Completely.

No room for doubt anymore.

Thomas Crook was a registered republican, described his classmate as 'definitely conservative'.

And he was a member of a shooting club called the Clairton Sportsmen's Club. So either a member of Clairton Sportsmen's Club was a terrible shot. Or a conservative republican intentionally nicked Trump's ear rather than killing him.

I'd like to know which.

Trump became a transformational figure yesterday. The image of him rising after taking an assassin's bullet and holding his fist up, blood on his face surrounded by Secret Service and flag above will become an iconic statue in Washington D.C. You heard it here first.

I have no doubt that Trump will try and raise statues to himself if given the chance.

Having to deal with the thought of coming that close to being assassinated has got to make anyone reassess their priorities. Trump is a fighter, though, not a quitter. I don’t think he’ll abandon the tens of millions of people who think he is the best person to make America great again. Better security is needed. Maybe augment the secret service with some private security. It’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that a rooftop that close was unmanned and unwatched. I sincerely hope it wasn’t a purposeful lapse of common sense security measures, but it’s almost just as bad if it was accidental. The secret service has to be better than that, right?

Someone didn't like the orange bag O' shit very much. So much so they took the effort to try and shake him from the mortal coil.

'Consiliatory'? Doesn't seem like much of an endorsement for 'unity' to me. :dunno:
