Those cops on J6 were attacked AFTER they began throwing exploding grenades into the otherwise peaceful crowd below injuring many. The only people killed on J6 (two) were both civilians, one an unarmed lady shot dead by one of those cops.

The democrats picked up a seat in the house in 2024. Virtually no houses or governorships flipped. I am not sure what wipeout you think you witnessed. The republicans have the smallest majority of any party in 90 years. The 2024 election was virtually a tie with Trump winning the white house of course against a backup candidate from the dems when Biden shit the bed.
