Is it possible that Trump loses the fire in his belly at a time he most needs to fight?

Were Trump to actively seek to moderate and "unify", he would have the best chance of picking up "undecideds". His opponent is so unpopular that the small gain could be enough to get him elected. The two duopoly choices remain horrible, nonetheless.

Trump traditionally over-performs in the midwest over what polling indicates will happen. Right now he's leading in some polls, tied in others.

Tied means he's winning. He doesn't need to do much to win. Barring some major shake up from Biden, the evidence suggests he's going to win fairly easily. He may even win the popular vote this time.

You completely ignored my point. In the absurd scenario you are trying to sell, the shooter is trying to wound Trump to increase his popularity. Killing Trump would be a disaster from the shooter’s point of view. So how could the shooter be certain Trump would not be killed or mentally incapacitated? If the shooter’s aim was off by a centimeter the shooter would have failed and Trump’s head was in motion.

Also let’s see your evidence that Crooks was conservative.
He registered as a Republican late 2021, and voted the first time in November 2022 midterms.

He was a member of a gun enthusiast group on the internet.

He donated $15 to a specific non profit cause of Act Blue, (Democratic PAC) that was focusing on registering newly reached or nearly reached, 18 year olds, to vote.

Soooo, what we know is he registered to vote as a Republican Party member....(which children generally register as the same Party as their parents, until their sea legs disappear is what I have read)

AND being a gun enthusiast, and a member of a group supporting gun ownership with lots of good technical information on a variety of fire arms, in order to fit in well with other members, he LIKELY would lean towards being a Republican, one could logically surmise....and if the AR 15 type weapon he did use was his father's then you can likely and logically surmise his father is a gun enthusiast himself....

It's simply a logical situation that he is, what he claimed, a Republican.

So this whole shooting motive.... doesn't make a damn bit of sense yet....imo!!!!

Maybe him being a loner, and extremely bullied in high school, has a play....in all of this....like he became bat shit crazy??? .... and wanted his 15 minutes of fame on his way out ....via suicide by cop, or something in that vein is what it is looking like to me, and not really with a deep political aspect involved?

OF COURSE this is all just educated conjecture at this point, and we have to let the evidence and facts be known!

FFS. There’s nothing there that warrants jail. Now Biden on the other hand..well, he’s saved due to his dementia.
Ok, well, what should Don's sentence be for conspiring, by way of the illegal, unconstitutional fake elector scheme, to install himself as the un-elected prez?

Yes, that was my point, but I see it was unclear.

Unlike Biden, Trump can go off his script without saying crazy stuff like "we beat Medicare." He can also get back on script without reading the stage directions on the teleprompter out loud.
As much as anything else it's the on script stuff that is Crazy.

Dive Brief:

  • A 10% tariff on all imports proposed by former president Donald Trump would impose annual costs on U.S. households ranging from $1,700 to $2,350 and erode income for the median worker by as much as 3%, the American Action Forum said.
  • An extra 60% tariff on imports from China — also proposed by Trump — would push up annual costs on U.S. households by $1,950, increasing consumer costs by a range between $300 billion to more than $500 billion, AAF said in a study.
  • “If a 60% China tariff were to be implemented, U.S. companies reliant on supply chains stemming from China would be hard hit,” Jacob Jensen, AAF data analyst and author of the study, said Wednesday in an email response to questions. “This would only bolster established firms that can take hits to their margins while hurting up-and-coming companies.”

Dive Insight:

Since Trump last year announced his intent, if reelected, to impose a sweeping 10% import tax, several studies have indicated that the benefits would pale in comparison with the costs to U.S. households, economic growth, fiscal health and national security.

“The proposed tariff policy raises costs for businesses and in turn weighs on growth and productivity, and lifts inflation as businesses pass many of their higher costs to consumers,” Moody’s Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi said this month in a study.

The blanket tariff would fail to reduce the U.S. trade deficit, Zandi said, noting that “any in-kind reprisals would further depress U.S. exports and exacerbate the trade deficit.”

Higher tariffs may jar already fragile global supply chains and deter investment in such distribution networks, he said. “Deliveries could also be disrupted as producers divert shipments to markets without tariffs and businesses try to source from domestic suppliers.”

Some leftists register as Republicans to vote in the primaries against the interests of conservatives.

Not every gun enthusiast is a Republican. Maybe he didn’t like some of the people at the gun club.

All we know at this point is that he hated Trump.

Progs caused this. You are violent. And use it for your purposes. The problem is that very few smacks your promoters back when they are in riot/insurrectionist stage. And you get insulted when someone does. When we are nuked , survivors like you will make more excuses until sociopaths and psychopaths who rule us in that time rip your head of your body as your utopia ends and reality that you caused begins..

Yes, it is a rare instance in which a candidate can all but sweep the undecideds without losing any votes from his base.

Trump ain’t so bad. We had a good three years, and he did well the last year given how they pulled out all the stops to ruin his beautiful economy. As a fellow American, I invite you to unify with us under his umbrella of hope for the future.

Only if you use purely static reasoning.
  • An extra 60% tariff on imports from China — also proposed by Trump — would push up annual costs on U.S. households by $1,950, increasing consumer costs by a range between $300 billion to more than $500 billion, AAF said in a study.

Again, static reasoning.

Try applying dynamic reasoning to the proposals, and you will see the wisdom.

If Trump said grass is green the Democrats would disagree.

I would not imagine what his speech will say until he says it. Democrats will lie about anything. They will lie about his speech too.

Don't listen to the Democrats.. listen to Trump.😂🤣😂

Trump isn’t very intelligent, though. Imagine a businessman that’s never heard of supply chains!

#TRUMPLIES

😂 Sadly, that's true. He doesn't read and he doesn't listen. 30 seconds into a conversation he knows everything about everything. Trump is a poorly educated vulgarian.

Who said trying to shoot someone is 'normal behavior'?

Do I even need to be here for this? You seem content to play both yourself and me in your little monologue.

Just like you pretended to be Thomas Matthew Crook, and imagined that whatever you made up what his motivation.

Lisa does that constantly on a variety of subjects.
