Is it Possible for Israel and Palestine to Peacefully Coexist?

September 11, 1683 Was the Peak of the Last Jihad

I'm sure that if we had handed all our Jews over to Hitler, he would have left us out of his drive for world conquest. He only declared war on us because we wouldn't do that.

You're insane.

Dumb Warrior Jealous of Smart Warrior

LBJ used the spy ship USS Liberty to warn the Syrians that they needed to fortify the Golan Heights. Then the Israelis made sure that the full message was interrupted.

You need 900 days observation.

I still remember the american press downplaying and even mocking the threat posed by islamic groups in the 90's... just like you are doing now.
The Islamic groups will never stop threatening the US, but their ability to make good on these threats has been greatly diminished since Oct 7. Hamas' ability to launch major attacks on Israel no longer exists. Hezbollah's military has been defeated. Syria, Iran's only state partner, has been taken over by groups that want nothing to do with Iran and are making peace overtures to Israel and the US. Iran's two massive attacks against Israel produced no casualties and only minor property damage, but Israel's attacks against Iran destroyed its air defenses and left it open to further attacks.

The image of Sinwar throwing a stick at the Israeli drone that was about to kill him is the perfect symbol for the threats of Islamic groups.

The only thing that the Israelis and the Palestinians seem to agree on is that their opposites should not exist as sovereign countries. Is this an immutable law of religious beliefs, or is it a stubborn bargaining position that both sides have taken? Will it ultimately take the removal of millions of Israelis or Palestinians from the area to resolve this conflict?

The idea of resettling local populations to other areas has been around (and practiced) for thousands of years. [Even Hitler wanted to resettle European Jews to the French colony of Madagascar before that became unrealistic.] Are there any geographical options today that might separate these two warring parties before they annihilate each other?

No

JOSÉ'S FULL DISCLOSURE

I'm probably the only active member who joined the Board 1 or 2 years after the New Yorker JimNYC created the US Message Board in the early 2000's.

In the course of the last 20 years I had literally hundreds of zionist little babies with the female members of the US Message Board.

From little babies who are now young adults and don't even post here anymore to others who are still being breastfed by their zionist mothers.

If I had known back then that my zionist little babies would be such a source of endless headaches and disapointments I probably wouldn't have had them.

But I can't go back in time and I still have a parental duty of educating and correcting my zionist offspring because as they say:

A DADDY'S GOTTA DO WHAT A DADDY'S GOTTA DO.

So let's go through it for A FUCKING THIRD TIME:

Not quite accurate. Back in the 1990's, Israel offered the so called Palestinians all of Gaza, 93% of the West Bank, an elevated highway under the control of the PA connecting Gaza and the West Bank and joint jurisdiction to Jerusalem, and the Palestinians emphatically said, no, by launching the second intifada.

TOOMUCHTIME

As pointed out, done and tried 75+ years ago and the Arabs/Muslims have rejected such every year since.
What part of reality do you fail to grasp ???

STRYDER50

It seems that not. The point of no return has been already passed, if it ever existed. For the Arabs, any Jewish state was a non-starter from the very beginning.

ESAY

Israel has tried to have peace and has agreed five times to peace deals and gave up territory to achieve that aim, only to have the so-called Palestinians break those peace agreements.

LUCKYDUCK01!

Even given the last fifteen months of history, "Palestinians" are nearly unanimous in stating that they can NEVER see "Palestine" living peacefully alongside a Jewish State.

The only path forward is for the Arab territories in the Holy Land to be governed as a U.N. "protectorate." They are too stupid and evil to be trusted with self government. This was obvious even before October 6th.

They could’ve had this date in the 1980s. Nothing was stopping them. They have made it very clear. They will not recognize real as a Jewish state. Please tell us what the Palestinian as there state they made it very clear. They also want Israel, which is not happening.

They have a HUGE area to call home. But they will never be satisfied until Israel cease to exist

I thank all my zionist little babies cited above for proving my whole point for me once more:

The defeat of the native people is a necessary, crucial condition for them to resign themselves to living in the ethnic enclaves imposed by the supremacista state.

Have the Israelis ever offered sovereignty to the Palestinians?

TOOMUCHTIME'S WORDS NOT MINE

JWOODIE

Jwoodie mistook me for toomuchtime, one of the worst, most problematic zionist little babies I had with the female members of the Board (Coyote, if I'm not mistaken... so many zionist wives and little babies it's hard to keep up...)

Yes, you fucking moron.

Israel ALREADY peacefully co-exists with Arab Palestine (a.k.a. Jordan).

Every hostile Muslim-Arab remaining West of the Jordan River needs to be moved to the East Bank - permanently.

Then there will be peace.

In the long run, it's either relocate the Muslims or Israel surrenders... and Israel is not going to surrender, so...

Might as well just get-on with the job of shoving the Muslims east of the Jordan... take the pain and then move on...

The incoming US administration is likely to provide an excellent cover under which to accomplish this...

There will almost certainly never, ever be a better time to undertake such a momentous, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...

As soon as Israel stops indiscriminately killing innocent civilians would be a good start.

Its hard to beat toomuchtime_ 's response to this, but another reminder that statehood is not a gift that is "offered". It is a series of conditions which must be met by the wanna-be state.

I am dismayed by this vitriolic hostility to an honest question about history of Israeli-Palestinian relations. If this represents the views of the parties involved, I will be inclined to support a US pull-out and let them kill each other.

Which is exactly what you wanted to do in the first place. How the hell do you have the nerve to express opinions about a situation you know nothing about?
