of course I do. but what abut my brother? he makes $400k as a vp at a tier one auto supplier. he got a masters at a great univ. and worked his way up. if that supplier goes overseas and he loses his job, it won't be his fault. and it will be hard to find another job like that. so he didn't buy a mansion and he saves. he's worried like the rest of us. many ppl like him have lost their jobs and took a step backward. I blame the gop for doing away with manufacturing.
Agreed and as i said it isn't difficult to determine who is to blame or find the circumstances that lead to the siutation you currently find yourself in. Either they can be traced back to you or they can't. With a little soul searching, finding out isn't that tough.
But a note on the rich and adversity. I would define adversity simply as the circumstances out of your control. Overcomeing those things it want makes people stronger and thus society stronger. Even if something like the above happened to your brother or anyone for that matter you
still have choices. You have still have control.
You can choose to let adversity beat you or you can rise above it. You will find stories along those lines for an awful lot of wealthy people.
I work with former quicken loan guys. they made $200k and now are starting over.
when 2 million americans lose their homes, the government did it.
There aren't any garuntess in life unfortunately. Which while somewhat depressing is the smarter way to approach your job and life in general because it puts you in the mind set to prepare for the unexpected.
I understand the richest Americans are going global. they undid any protections for american jobs. screw us american poor.
I'm not in very of protectionisnm as a general rule. it may keep you your job in the short run, but in the long run it is bad for the economy. Job's have left this country because competitive advantage in a lot of industries has shifted over seas. It simply costs less to do some business over seas. So you have to ask your self when you complain about the plight of the poor, why you support a position that invariably drives the cost of goods up for said poor.
it would have been nice if they told us this back in 2000. no? instead they said wages were up everywhere but michigan. of course we were the manufacturing capital. they moved jobs down south first, which made the south happy. but now the jobs are going to mexico, china and india.
This still goes back to what I said earlier. Even when something is out of your control and most certianly this administration has made some bad moves, in terms of moving forward for yourself from whatever you think president did to you or what your boss did to you or whatever, what is complaing about it really getting you as far as moving on? True placeing blame can teach us lessons, but it can't move you forward. At the end of the day whether you find yourself in the positin your in because of someone else yourself, it irrelvant as far as moving forward because unless you get lucky waiting for something to happen the only person that has much chance of doing so is you.
