Does that ring a bell? Race and religion in American political discourse is well documented throughout the entire 250 year history of American. The sexual issues are for the most part much more recent. Even Obama didn’t support gay marriage starting his presidency.

It’s not just white people who are shrinking. In most political contexts specific minorities are not even recognized. They are all lumped in together as “POC” and place adjacent to “whites”. Diversity dilutes all races and cultures. The more diversity there is the more marginalized black people (just like white people) will be.

I got no problems with minorities and I certainly do not “demonize” them. You are apparently too young to know that schools have been integrated for 70 years and interracial relationship common place for the past 50. The “younger folks” today have been reinventing the wheel in the shape of a square.

It’s just not true. Racial fear and entitlements have always been a part of politics. You believing that civil rights should have ended the political discussion about race just goes to show your lack of understanding. Passing a law doesn’t suddenly have a unifying effect on public opinion. It takes time. I guess by your standards affirmative action never should have happened since the racial discussion should have ended with civil rights? Was it a right wing conspiracy spearheaded by Nixon too?
