The Good insane United states of America
In another thread in the political sector people think what Bernie sanders and Hillary Clinton wants is communism. I ask since western Europe has what they want along with dozens of other rich countries...Well, are they all communist?

communist nation is one:
Simple Definition of communism
  • :
a way of organizing a society in which the government owns the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) and there is no privately owned property
  • Definition of COMMUNISM
There's no private sector in communism. All of the nations I listed have a private sector.
Most don't political freedom in high regard. Every country I listed in the titled have more political freedom then the united states and more choices to vote for!

More
the definition of communism
a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.

Every one of these nations have private property rights and the ability to start your own business!!!
a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.

Every communist state was ruled by a single controlling party!!! Most of these nations have more choices then we do to vote!!! lol Also, the people through our votes control the public resources of our societies and not so much the party. So a public sector that has been around in civilizations going back 9 thousand years isn't either.

So you're clearly wrong! Social democracy isn't communism!!!

The whole confusion is coming from Bernie calling himself a "socialist",
then describing "social democracy" when asked to explain what he meant by that,
imo...

Japan is nationalist.

They a healthcare system that cost half as much as ours and bans the corporate profit cluster fuck.

Half a world away from the U.S. health-care debate, Japan has a system that costs half as much and often achieves better medical outcomes than its American counterpart. It does so by banning insurance company profits, limiting doctor fees and accepting shortcomings in care that many well-insured Americans would find

Health care in Japan -- a hybrid system funded by job-based insurance premiums and taxes -- is universal and mandatory, and consumes about 8 percent of the nation's gross domestic product, half as much as in the United States. Unlike in the U.S. system, no one is denied coverage because of a preexisting condition or goes bankrupt because a family member gets sick.
intolerable.Japan's Health-Care System Has Many Advantages, but May Not Be Sustainable

Also japan educates there children and has the 4th best educational system on earth.

America is the #1 obese nation on the face of this planet,
it is normal for this country to pay more for health...

You clearly have no fucking clue about how the Japanese health system works. The "socialized" medical system in Japan is nowhere near like Europes. Everyone is "required" to buy government or private insurance, but that doesn't ensure you get a doctor. The universities assign doctors to where they will be stationed. Because large city hospitals have "relationships" with the schools, they get the doctors. The small towns won't... And, if you don't pay for the insurance you don't get care. Unlike here in the States where you are at least able to go to the ER to get taken care of, in Japan if you have no insurance. You die. Nobody except those over 70 get a free ride. That's the only reason the system still works. There is NO law saying that a hospital must treat you.

The main reason I would resist to universal healthcare;

Why would I have to pay more for my health insurance, just because some fat fuck thinks American diet is beef and potato and shoves burgers and fries into his face every day...

Well, Japan at least doesn't allow the corporate sector to jack prices up for the hell of it and regulates in away to make sure it works well. America on the other hand works on greed and isn't very efficient at all.

A nation without some government is one controlled by massive corporations controlled by the few people that are rich ruling over everyone else.

Neither did the USA until obama came along and fucked up the system. Great job, jackass!

All you are doing is swapping corporate tyrants for government ones.

Thinking beyond a 5 second soundbite is too hard for voters.

The government that we vote for and can throw out in 2 years in case of the house and 4 years in case of the presidency. Why should the corporate sector be able to boost a .25 cent pill to 5 dollars or more? This is one thing I learned in my healthcare class that I found screwed up.

25 cents or five dollars try and find that pill in Venezuelan right now.
Its socialist utopia there, have you not heard?

Well, it is unmoral to allow corporations to do that to cancer medicine and Japan and many other nations don't seem to be going the way of Venezuela.

Venezuela has destroyed the private sector and hasn't a clue on what the hell they're doing.

I think asking for more than that from voters would not be realistic;
in this age of technology, where people are being bombarded with stimulus from all angles, why would they spare more than 5 secs for your pitch?

This whole "socialist" - "social democrat" thing lost the election for Bernie Sanders, imo...
He had very strong, very well taught, very well executed punch lines otherwise...
