Is a shutdown breakthrough in the offing?

Me? I didn’t do shit.

This is Trump’s shutdown
lmao :lmao:

If a random dog took a shit on the sidewalk you'd blame the stink on Trump. :p

Why are Democrats so scared of letting people find out how much their ACA really costs?

Dems are trying to prevent Republicans DOUBLING their ACA premiums

No, the republicans literally want slavery and anything less then that they will block for their bodies in the insurance industry. They're all about the rich.

They suck.

Why would they make a deal?

They offer a clean CR to continue near Biden-level spending through Novenber 21st and the Dems demand 10 years worth of spending hikes and making permanent the gift to insuracne corporatons of COVID Supplemental ACA subsidies. in exchange for keeping government open through Halloween.

Why would they agree to any part of that when the Schumer Schutdown is hurting Democrat voters who are begging Dems to sign the CR? If the republicans did want to make a deal, who should they negotiate with?

It would have to be Alexandria, because Chuck Schumer won't do anything without her permission.

Freshman Senate Dems and House Republicans to on bipartisan ACA plan

Two Senate Democrats and two House Republicans are planning to huddle Friday over a possible bipartisan plan to extend soon-to-expire Obamacare subsidies, according to four people with direct knowledge of the matter.

Centrist Senate Democrats are working feverishly to hammer out an ACA framework in more detail to give Democrats an off-ramp to vote to reopen the government.

Can a solution be found despite Don's efforts to keep the government shut down? Even if congressional Repub's and Dem's reach a compromise will he sign off on it?

I don't know. But it's encouraging to see some discussion going on.
Schumer caved.

How many millions starved because of his shutdown?

It appears that it is. But WTF is this all about?

Trump tells Senate Republicans to send federal health insurance money ‘directly to the people’

An interesting topic for another thread, no doubt.

This thread is to celebrate Chuck's losing control of his caucus and watching a spending bill passed around him.

Im surprised that Dick Durban and Tim Kaine led the rebels. How about you?
