IRS on Steroids

I would hope that this raises a red flag regardless of which political spectrum you lean toward. This is a clear violation of the 4th amendment,

It does not raise any red flags. When the article quotes right wing fascists, you know it is so much garbage. It seems Republicans are so interested in helping the rich evade taxes they legally owe.

Like it's something new....stopping individuals from cheating on their taxes.

"Also known as the Currency and Foreign Transactions Reporting Act, the Bank Secrecy Act spells out how and when financial institutions must provide transaction data to the IRS. This act dates back to 1970, when it was originally designed to identify individual and business taxpayers engaged in money laundering and tax evasion.

When the Patriot Act was passed in 2002, a portion of this legislation reinforced the original Bank Secrecy Act. The International Money Laundering Abatement and Financial Anti-Terrorism Act of 2001 first introduced IRS Form 8300, which banks use to document large or suspicious transactions."

Thanks for proving my point....You give not one fuck about privacy, civil liberties, the presumption of innocence, the 4th Amendment....Any of it.

You schmendricks are the least "liberal" people in the nation's history.

Pointing out the history of these measures is not agreeing with them. Who was the President in 1970? A very popular guy at the time, who also open the door to Communist China......just saying.

That act only applies to transactions over 10k. But who am I to criticize you for going after the kids monthly lawn mowing jobs...

You want to change the legislation do it properly and not by this garbage

That's the Goldberg effect. Getting pissed off that Fascism is right wing authoritarian as opposed to socialism, then writing a book to blame Fascism on liberals using all sorts of flimsy connections across historical timelines.

So you can point to an actual historical fascist that supported states rights and the private ownership of firearms? That's standard fare for the American right. I'll wait.
