62% likely voters want the next primary initiative to be drain the swamp

Elections have consequences, I've always heard. Maybe they should not have hidden Joe's decline for over a year before the election, giving the party a chance to pick somebody with a clue or a plan, if there was somebody with a clue or a plan. Harris did not win a single primary state, as she did not win (plus had a multi-year history of being clueless and useless), but was put fourth as the only Democrat choice, within 2 weeks of Joe's mental onstage melt down on the debate stage, when the secret got out. It is really amazing how large the "Anybody But Trump) vote was.
Members of his cabinet still deny Joe was senile.

So President Trump announced today that even the Democrats acknowledge the CBO predicts his tariffs will lower the deficit by $4 TRILLLION over the next decade!!!! That is awesome!

The tax increase should help with revenues, but I'll wait 5 months to check into how the CBO sees things balancing out based on the total picture. Right now I have no expectations one way or other.

The Budget and Economic Outlook for 2025-2035 dated January 17, 2025 stated:
In CBO’s projections, the federal budget deficit in fiscal year 2025 is $1.9 trillion. Adjusted to exclude the effects of shifts in the timing of certain payments, the deficit grows to $2.7 trillion by 2035. (Source)

The next edition of The Budget and Economic Outlook, covering the 2026-2036 period, will discuss the budgetary and economic effects of the recent reconciliation legislation, as well as the effects of tariffs, immigration, and other changes. (Source)

The new information likely will significantly change the projections in that report that the media put out everywhere and caused the rift between Trump and Musk.

Trump is not a status quo player in much of anything. Therefore using the status quo to forecast the results of what he will get is pretty futile.

Yes, it is amazing how many truly whiny people would vote for any candidate with no chance to win.

If we had an honest media in this country and a competent education system, Trump would easily have taken pretty much every state. (Well, maybe not California but who knows. They used to be sane there too.)

I am amazed and impressed that Trump is able to accomplish so much with 98% negative press, however dishonest, and minimal if any reporting of the successes he is having.

We who live on the internet and love America and share the MAGA vision of what it can be are reasonably well informed. Most Americans never see the information we see/read/hear though and are indoctrinated to believe Trump is something evil and destructive and against everything they believe when the truth is the opposite.

But the worm may be turning. The pendulum of common sense may be slowly coming back. We can hope.

I have no interest in any rift between Trump and Musk. That also goes for a vast amount of stuff the national media determines as newsworthy.

Whenever possible I avoid the national media and would rather see things for myself. Luckily for the CBO here, their own forecasts are easy to access directly. Likewise for employment data there's the Bureau of Labor Statistics and another source is ADP's monthly National Employment Report on private sector jobs that one doesn't need the media to serve as an intermediary.

But is that the most important thing to the American public right now? Apparently not. A new Rasmussen poll out shows that 62% of likely voters want the next big policy push to be continuing work on draining the swamp.

So Trump has failed?

Members of his cabinet still deny Joe was senile.

As do the dense Deniers here and the more treacherous Troll Bots .

Their days are numbered and the slimy ones are already fleeing and hiding in trepidation .

There was a concerted attempt to buy up land in New Zealand by many of the Top Scum Group, particularly when Deep State vermin Jacinda Arden was in charge --- NZ being part of the original Five Eyes Group .
The Evil Clintons being at the forefront

The problem is that the CBO, Labor stats etc. have proved to be lacking again and again, at least as much as they get it right. I'm hoping Trump will be able to achieve more efficiency and effectiveness there too, whether that be by improving the system or by improving the people. But everything as it can be done. Even God of the Bible didn't try to do everything all at once. And Trump, as good as he is, is a mere mortal. :)

So Trump has failed?
No stupid, America is clearly behind Trump’s attempt to dismantle the Dimwinger Cult and their swamp.

Your Dimwinger Death Cult is fighting against cleaning up government on every level.

So President Trump announced today that even the Democrats acknowledge the CBO predicts his tariffs will lower the deficit by $4 TRILLLION over the next decade!!!! That is awesome! So much for his policies and/or the BBB swelling the deficit by trillions. (Are you paying attention Elon?)

But is that the most important thing to the American public right now? Apparently not. A new Rasmussen poll out shows that 62% of likely voters want the next big policy push to be continuing work on draining the swamp. President Trump, most likely due to Democrat lawfare, didn't have time to get much done on that in his first term. Voters want that to be at or near the top in the priorities now.

Who's going to drain the swamp? We have video and audio recordings of White House 'Border Czar' Tom Homan accepting $50,000 in cash bribes from undercover FBI agents stuffed in a brown paper takeout bag from the restaurant chain Cava.

Homan accepted the cash last year from undercover agents posing as businessmen seeking contracts with the government in the event Trump won the presidency. The operation was reportedly captured on hidden cameras, but the investigation was shut down after Trump took office.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday that Homan didn't take the money. LIE

House Judiciary Committee Democrats led by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said in a letter to the DOJ and FBI there is evidence that Mr. Homan may have committed multiple federal felonies, including conspiracy to commit bribery.

Justice Department spokespeople did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

We have countless accounts where the left has manufactured and or misrepresented the facts to trash and smear somebody too. And Jamie Raskin has been a huge cheerleader and facilitator for that kind of evil. I strongly suspect the Homan accusations to be one more of those kinds of smears because they have been unable to intimidate him or frighten him into not doing his job which he has been hugely effective in doing.

If there was any truth whatsoever to the story, the FBI would have charged him last year when Raskin says he took the bribe. Why would they have conducted an 'undercover' sting operation to get him to take a bribe? Entrapment anybody?

The whole allegation stinks to high heaven.
