I remember Iran clearly saying the Strait is open to anyone but the countries who are bombing it. But to read about it in the US media this detail is omitted to make it sound like Iran is closing it completely. Which it will do if Trump follows through on his threats.

"Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi pushed back Saturday against the widespread characterisation that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, with a significant caveat. "The Strait of Hormuz is open. It is only closed to the tankers and ships belonging to our enemies, to those who are attacking us and their allies," Araghchi said in an interview with MS Now. "Others are free to pass. Of course, many of them prefer not to because of their security concerns. This has nothing to do with us."

He added that tankers are still moving through the strait, just not American or Israeli ones. The message was clear: Iran is not blockading the world's oil supply, it is targeting its enemies specifically."

Are you just unironically deepthroating Iranian propaganda at this point? This was the other thread you started on this very day:

Sorry this ruins your little narrative that Iran is closing the Straits.

Then why hasn't the UK insurer's who insure these tankers reinstated their liability insurance yet?

Then why do they keep attacking oil tankers from other countries?

So US and Israel can fly flags of other countries on their ships?

It is too bad Iran cant just sell oil and be happy.

Why would U.S. ships be passing through there, anyway?

There is not way we should be buying oil from that region. Let alone, Iran.

It's what winners do .
Kill first and possibly ask questions later .

Those Hooty Tooty Freedom Fighters held off Saudi for almost a decade before the Saudis conceded .
Dealing with serial Blunderers , America , should be far easier for the Freedom Fighters .

So if it is open to all but US and Israeli ships, it is open.

Cool.
It's going to be opened by the U.S. Israel definition.

Iran regime can want in one hand and shit in the other. . . guess which hand will be filled first.

I also remember it that way.
