Question: Should we make peace with Iran or should we destroy them completely?

“If President Trump is genuine about diplomacy and interested in stopping this war, next steps are consequential. Actually, the story I got was that Iran's air defenses were down because they were under peace talks with the USA, and countries have come to expect that the USA never strikes during peace talks, in fact, they use peace talks to buy time.

Iran never expected to be hit while the peace talks were on-going.

Why would they ever be down? That doesn't make sense.

I'm not saying what was true and what wasn't. But Iran is not our friend and not above saying things that make the US look bad. And if you're in a war it ain't smart to lower your air defenses at any time.

So then Trump is going to get us involved in another middle east conflict.

Everything Iran does is lies and deception.
Israel just exposed them in a very bad way - of course they want "peace" now.
Stop hitting them now would only mean more of the same, and highly-highly likely they are already setting up ways for their proxy military - Hamas and militant Palestinians to retaliate.
What needs to happen is for Iran to lose all incentive to continue their war against Israel. Only way for that - is the price they pay is overwhelmingly worse than any gains they make for lobbing a few missiles at them.

I could see Israel pulling an Entebbe style raid to destroy the centrifuges and contaminate the plant so it can never be used again. It would be a high risk/high reward mission that might cost the lives of every participant.
