Hello.

Does anyone have an internet radio receiver? If so, how do you like yours? I had an old one that has been "obsolete" for about 10 years. But for whatever reason, the "search" function to find (for example) a smooth jazz station in Finland has gone away. It still lets me access my saved favorites--about 150 stations--but I can't add any new ones. Soon, I suspect, the entire thing will just shut down. So I'm looking to upgrade.

One item I saw was the Mondo Elite:

However, I hear that the manufacturer, Grace Digital, may be going under and no longer will do the "back office" stuff of having the subscriptions to the services (Spotify, Amazon Music, iHeart, Pandora). I'm not sure about the search feature...if it will be supported or needs any support for that matter.

So does anyone else have one of these radios? I presume there is a site on the Internet that I could access from my laptop that will work but I really would like to have a console so I can play it on my balcony or put it in my kitchen.

There is more to radio than just music. There is news content, entertainment content, sports programming, weather reports etc... One such station I listen to is a curated radio station that broadcasts to patients, workers, and visitors in a hospital over in England. I enjoy their programming, hearing the occasional English cover of a song and their sports coverage when there is a soccer match on the weekends. Another station I listen to plays nothing but songs from James Bond films.

i have a grace digital mondo IR - bought it in 2013, & didn't know they were shutting down their older models playability. i found this link that may help:

i forgot to answer that i like the mondo - never had any problems. i am not sure how much grace digital will discount an upgrade if you go with them ... they are selling the mondo elite for the same price as the site you posted (pre any discount they may offer to existing IR owners)

amazon has the mondo elite for $30 cheaper & free shipping. i doubt grace digital will beat that with their discount.
