in the book "Gangsters of Capitalism": Jonathan Katz writes on the Parallels Between Jan. 6 and 1934 Anti-FDR Coup Plot

I wouldn't listen to "Democracy Now!", but I might try to find some serious history about the anti FDR plot, if there is any.

America never learns

You're right, in a way.

"Capitalism" Creates Wealth, expanding Goods and Services available to benefit All and raise the General Well-being.

Socialism/Communism Steals and Redistributes Wealth, choking the expansion of such, and hence spreads the misery and poverty of the few to the many.

Over the past few decades more of the American populace has sought to "Take" rather than "Make"; hence the Wealth and Health of our Nation has been in Decline more than Advance. The USA has been in a gradual downward spiral and the agenda and policies of the Regressives of the political Left have hastened this Decline.

We've increasingly sought the lowest common denominator via constrictions rather then encourage the greater diversity of Wealth and Initiative via promotion of Free Enterprise and proportional rewards.

The counterpoint of the "Gangsters of Capitalism" are the "Gangsters of Socialism/Communism".

Capitalism also steals and redistributes wealth....to billionaire. And this is the money decent presidents like Biden could use to rebuild our country's infrastructure, schools, bridges, etc. I notice all the republicans and a couple democrats won't allow it though. One link below.

They know who was behind the plot to seize the White House and FDR; one of the main players and financiers was one of the heirs to the Singer Sewing Machine company fortunes, one of the Clark family. I have a book on him and the plot around here somewhere.

Ah, found him.

He got off after a Congressional investigation was killed with no indictments. People ragged on Butler but he wasn't lying about the coup attempt, despite his shift to commie politics because of the Depression. And, a family bio here:

Another freaking comedian who thinks he is a political expert? The title sounds like your typical left wing socialist rant.

Would seem you never learned much of history. For millennia, ever since the start of civilization, humans have lived with "gangsters" in the form of royalty. The kings and queens whom owned the land, the people whom lived on it, and the produce and labors of those subject humans they "owned". Only in recent centuries have the concepts of private property and individual rights of ownership of such begun to gain traction and only in the last couple has such free enterprise born results that were the greatest boon to humanity to date.

"Gangsters of Capitalism"~"billionaires" do not put their money(wealth) in coffee cans to bury in their backyards. They invest their money/wealth into other enterprises, retail stores, factories, real estate and other ventures that will provide jobs/employment, hopefully create profits and grow the wealth. Along the way there is risk and not all ventures succeed, producing losses of wealth and sometimes lost jobs. This is not "stealing"/theft, rather it's basic economics, something else you appear to be short of on your learning curve.

Biden is far from a "decent" POTUS. He's spent the bulk of his career/occupational lifetime living off of OPM=Other People's Money, in his case mostly living off the taxpayers. He has produced little if any real wealth and has basically been a parasite upon society, same as the Obama's and Clinton's.

His so-called "infrastructure plan" is about three quarters slush funding and scam to his cronies and handlers, nothing to do with roads, bridges, schools, etc.; which is why it is opposed by many. Were he to trim off the fat and go lean on just "infrastructure", he might garner slightly more support.

You might consider starting a business of your own and become an employer to better know what you are talking about. Then again, you may need to start by understanding the message in the fable of "The Little Red Hen".
The Little Red Hen is an American fable first collected by Mary Mapes Dodge in St. Nicholas Magazine in 1874.[1] The story is meant to teach children the importance of hard work and personal initiative.
