In honor of deer season...

One of the local kids bagged an 8 pointer here, he's like 7 or 8, the friggin' gun is taller than he is

He pointed it out to me the other day , buck was hung in the barn kid was all chuffed..... "That's an 8 pointer!"

I support hunting by qualified adults but I hate to think about what 7 or 8 year old would bag with a hunting rifle if some citizen came walking in the woods.

Hunting fuzzy? What does that mean?
I meant "I hope you are still hunting, Fuzzykitten99. This thread was started in 2005. I hope Fuzzy is still alive and hunting.

Last year I had a health scare and my brother and I wondered how many more deer seasons we have left. Life is short. Both of us in our mid 50's. Fuzzy wrote this 18 years ago. At 54, do I have 18 more deer seasons left? 72 years old? I sure hope so.

I have a co worker who said he saw a lab ruin his hunt. He said if it was his property he would have shot the dog. I'd be pissed at a stupid owner who let their dog loose during hunting season but I would NOT shoot the dog.

I'm sure someone was with the 8 year old.

A lot of times, the dad takes the kid out for a youth hunt but you can tell by the kids story that dad really took the shot.
