If illegal immigration is not stopped it will destroy this country

Oh I have. In fact, I have suggested that we implement policies exactly like those in effect when the Irish came. A processing center, sort of like Ellis Island, where the immigrants would be checked for disease, you know like Measles which has been in the news quite a bit lately. Then the immigrant could in this modern era, have a check on their criminal record. Presuming they pass both, they could be in the US as a Resident in a few days.
Then they can start the process to become citizens. The classes on history, which you seem ignorant of, and the rest of that sort of thing.
So yes, I have read a history book. But we aren’t treating the illegal immigrants of today, like we treated the immigrants of yesterday are we? We aren’t checking them for disease, or other health issues. We aren’t doing anything, and we often don’t even know their names for months, years, or ever. That was not done with the Irish. Granted, we bastardized quite a few names. But we processed them in through Ellis Island didn’t we? We performed checks didn’t we? So why aren’t the Democrats proposing something like that?
That is one thing I can’t figure out. The easiest way to pull the teeth of all the objections in a vast majority of the people is a process like the one described above. Yet that is not even suggested is it? A one stop shop for residency. Enter, get your name run through the system, get checked for communicable disease, and welcome to America.
Why isn’t it being championed by the left? If the people really are just undocumented, why not give them a chance to get the documentation? If the Illegals are really just trying to find a better life, why insure they are stuck living in the shadows where their lives might not be quite as horrible, but certainly will never be good?
Why haven’t the Democrats proposed this sort of thing? If they were half as smart as they swear they are, why haven’t they done the one thing that the Republicans would have to go along with, or face the real possibility that the term racist might stick in the minds of the independent voters they need to win?
Of course, you won’t answer. You have no answer Nat. All you have is more of the same old tired crap about how awful Trump is, and how dumb the Trump supporters are, while despite the claim that your side is so damned smart, that side hasn’t done anything smart either.
