Taxing the rich so we can invest in America and Americans again would be great. a living wage health Care daycare paid parental leave cheap college and training great infrastructure and vacations would be just horrible..... And hopefully an ID card to end illegal immigration all of which every other modern country has except for brainwashed idiotic GOP America.
Hmmm. The last I checked, the IRS makes even the rich pay taxes. More of a percentage than you. They have federal and state taxes to pay and in some cases, like NYC, city taxes. There are some deductions that they can use, such as businesses that operate in the red that can be a write off, but still they do pay taxes.
As for day care....the last I checked, while there are businesses that do offer onsite daycare for employees, just not all. Small businesses can't afford it and depending upon what type of business a company is, it may be impractical. That said. If a woman "chooses" to have a baby, that's a choice. She's not mandated to get pregnant. It boils down to a personal lifestyle and technically, companies aren't mandated to cater to an employee's personal choices. They offer employment and the personnel office goes over what is required of the applicant and what they don't do for the applicant. If the applicant doesn't like what the company has to offer, he/she can find employment elsewhere.
Large companies do have some health coverage as part of their employment program. The employee puts in some of his/her earnings towards it and the company puts in a portion. Smaller companies can't do this, as they simply can't afford the costs.
If a person is here "illegally," he or she should NOT be eligible for any kind of an ID card. Anyone wanting in to the country simply has to go to a border check point and apply to enter the US, or identify themselves as a refugee. The government will evaluate their claim of being a refugee and determine if they really are one and if not....."go home." If you want in and are not a refugee and want to come in legally, there are thousands of people ahead of you that are trying to come into the US, to get away from Socialist, Communist, Military Juntas and other types of oppressive governments. All you can do is wait your turn.
Personally, if it were up to me, there would be a permanent moratorium on all immigration, no matter where you hail from. I want to preserve what Wildlife Refuges, National Forests, National Parks and public lands we have, for as long as possible, before we destroy it all and die off.
I've decided to go back and add a bit here: To me, the vast majority of those that complain about the rich, do so from a position of simple "jealousy." They look at some man or woman and their kids that own a yacht, two or three homes, multiple cars, go to exotic locations, play golf at private clubs and deep down think..."why can't I have that stuff?" "I should have nice things too!" "I should be living large!" "Why should they have that stuff, while people live in tenements and struggle?"
Well, did those people invent the PC, or the internet, or Social Media sites, or anything? No. They aren't inventive. They aren't entrepreneurs. They don't create things that could financially improve their lives. They spend their lives working for others. I'm an example of that category.
I own a small old, rundown mobile home on its own piece of land. I drive an old jeep. I have a modest bank account and my military retired pay, allows me to stay in my home. The difference between me and those that complain about all the rich people....I'm not a jealous fool, looking enviously at those that have more. They got where they are by going out and working for it, or happened to be born into it. Me, I was happy serving my country as an enlisted serviceman, via the military. We all have different talents and abilities or limitations, what we do with them is up to us. For those that think that Marxist/Leninist Socialism will solve the problems. All that will happen is that unless you are at the top tier of the Politburo, you will never be rich, just poor.
