Midwestern U.S.
My great grandparents immigrated legally. Despite the hardships and privations. Neither they nor did I EVER own slaves nor did WE support persecuting Jews (because, we are, or in part Jewish). We dream our politicians will follow our wishes and not those that exploit poor and set us against ourselves to their short term political gain. That's MY DREAM.

I dream people can respect immigration law, not feel they are above it. My next door neighbor is Hispanic, her father fought in the Spanish-American war (Hispanic, YES, he fought along side other patriotic Americans like Teddy Roosevelt) and her family predated mine by gosh, by at least 100 years. So, I'm good with Hispanics.

Latinos don’t and will not assimilate to European culture, some do it’s why we need merit based immigration.
So 1/4 of the country used to be part of another country that was itself a colonial power 200 years ago. That explains the "Reconquestia", what was ours will ours be again" philosophy. Mexicans get this feebee. I have a dream. Stop invading and making me your persecutor.

Jews fleeing NAZIs didn't get this level of treatment, let alone sanctuary, they were turned away even. No Sanctuary for fleeing jews.... Given say actual persecution. Not sure exactly what Hispanic aliens need sanctuary FROM, NOW. Explain this to me.

Illegal immigrants need sanctuary from American/federal law, no, they don't. Why? Those same immigration laws applied to the rest of our forefathers. Nobody is above the law..remember?

Wait, "applied to the rest of our forefathers"? How long do you think current immigration laws have been in effect?

This stuff has been explained to you many times. What you want is called bias confirmation. You are wrong on so many levels. If you haven't gotten the message by now, you are incapable of any understanding or you are wholly dishonest.

First and foremost, there is no such thing as illegal immigration. It is a misnomer. Immigration is citizenship and it takes a lot of jumping through hoops to become a citizen. We could only have an illegal immigrant if his / her native country were willing to lie for them. Not much we can do about that.

YOUR family came here to become citizens. Other people may come here to work, earn money and return to their native land in the future. They aren't immigrants in the purest sense of the word. They are merely guest workers. You are mixing oranges with apples.

You compare what you want to being a Nazi??? That is definitely a first, but Heil Hitler. So, you'll offer no sanctuary for foreigners? I got ya. Understand it perfectly. Since you've compared yourself to a Nazi, I'd say the average Hispanic needs sanctuary from you.

Foreigners are not getting anything from you. In fact, they put about $12 BILLION DOLLARS annually into Socialist Security and cannot draw a thin dime out in retirement. They are not invading the country; Americans are willingly doing business with them. It's called the free market economy.

NO constitutional laws are being broken. The laws on the books today regarding foreigners would not exist had the United States Supreme Court not given Congress "plenary powers" over foreigners. The problem is, our Constitution does not give the United States Supreme Court any authority to grant to another branch of government any powers... plenary or otherwise. The government has the power to pass unconstitutional laws, but state and local governments have NO legal duty to enforce federal statutes. If you were born in this country and do not understand checks and balances, maybe you should take a course in civics.

... Immigration is citizenship ...

Well, not necessarily.

"What is IMMIGRATION?
The coming Into a country of foreigners for purposes of permanent residence. The correlative term “emigration” denotes the act of such persons in leaving their former country."
Black's Law Dictionary

Black's Law Dictionary is the most authoritative legal dictionary used in U.S. courts

"Black's Law is the most widely used law dictionary in the United States."

Furthermore, the United States Constitution only gives Congress authority over one area of jurisdiction relative to foreigners. It is found in Article I Section 8 of the Constitution and it reads:

"Congress shall have the power to... establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization"

If a foreigner is not coming here for permanent residence, under the Constitution (as originally written and intended), then it is clearly and unequivocally a state's rights issue. What the United States Supreme Court did was a colossal mistake - one in which the LEO community only marginally pretend to enforce as the only alternative we have is to make citizens out of millions of people (i.e. like undocumented foreigners with American born children.) Then, even the judges stand to lose something if Hispanics become a majority in a country where a sizable number of the population has a beef with Hispanics.

Permanent residency is not the same thing as citizenship, as reflected in the different status for those with a permanent resident card (green card), as opposed to those who have acquired citizenship.

Still playing semantics; you and I know what the MAGA crowd means.

Accuracy is not semantics.

The ones that have come here in the last 50 years have not assimilated. Instead they have carved out their own hybrid subculture and assimilated into that as have many former Americans. It's not surprising because they are encouraged to maintain their own separate culture.

Do you know why Jews have done so well here in the US?
Because no one would hire us.
It was either starve or start your own business.
Welfare wasn't an option.

Trespassers, even after 2 or 3 genertions, don't seem to have higher ambitions than landscaping or doing dishes
