The bottom line is that both parties believe the same thing - more people voting will help Democrats. So Democrats want to maximize turnout - especially from brown people - even if it's illegal. And Republicans want to minimize turnout - especially from brown people - even if it's legal. Neither side has any goal other than "winning".
