The answer is not to ignore those here illegally. if we're going to let them stay, put them at the back of the line behind those who are going through the process to be here legally, vet and screen them, but DON'T just turn them loose in the country. IOW, enforce the law.

Sealybobo, I agree that the repubs, do not help the situation at all with their hiring of illegals. However I also see that the majority, if not all, mayors of sanctuary cities are dems { I cannot think of a mayor who is a repub doing this}. Also dems also own business and hire illegals. So what we get is a bunch of bloviating rhetoric from both sides while the problem continues. All I can think of when it comes to our politicans "talking" about solving problems is Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles pounding his desk saying "we have to protect our phoney baloney jobs gentelmen". Alot of talk, while things continue to deteroriate and nothing really worth while gets accomplished. IMHO.

I want to restart this thread. In the past, Republicans always defended the corporations when I said we don't have an illegal immigrant problem. We have an illegal employer problem. If it weren't for them, Mexicans here in America would be just like Canadians. Only visiting.

I said we need to raid illegal employers and shut them down. Republicans said that's too harsh to do to an illegal employer. But I say if Trump did it, you guys would suddenly agree with me those illegal employers should be shut down. They should be SCARED to hire illegals. Today they are not afraid.

I worked for a guy who owned a music school. He needed a violin teacher and I knew a guy who was GREAT. But he was from Iran on a student visa. NOT a work visa. He would not risk his entire business just to make some money. GOD I wish more business owners were like him.

If you had instead framed your question as "let us ADD this to what we are doing" to fix the problem faster and better, I might be convinced of your sincerity.

BUT, instead, i think that what you really want, is to allow teh illegals to not only stay, but to keep coming.


It makes America more diverse, less white and thus more open to your lib agenda.

ICE has been raiding MANY places of employment over the past 12 months particularly.

You'd think the libs would be overjoyous.

But what they want is NO enforcement.

A couple of years ago, libs were peevish that states like Texas were enforcing immigration, they said it was the Federal Government's duty, not the state.

Now the feds are taking the initiative, they are peevish and want rogue states like Minnesota to take the lead.

Why can't libs be honest and admit they want open borders.
