wow one song covers their whole careers....
"Run for your life if you can, little girl". “I used to be cruel to my woman, I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved.” “Bang clang Maxwell’s silver hammer came down upon her head/Bang clang Maxwell’s silver hammer made sure that she was dead.” “Please listen to me if you wanna stay mine/I can’t help my feelings, I go outta my mind/I’m gonna let you down, and leave you flat/cause I told you before/you can’t do that."
"Sympathy for the devil."
BTW -- "Brown Sugar" is about whipping slaves. “Gold Coast slave ship bound for cotton fields/Sold in a market down in New Orleans/Scarred old slaver, know he’s doing alright/Hear him whip the women just around midnight.”

you fell for that?....Wasn't it one of the Beatles recordings that when played backward had a satanic message????
I live in the mountains I have a studio separate from the house that I walk to and from every day. Also we use wood for heat I cut wood and split it. I’m also a guitar player and have been for 50 years and play every day it helps with the attitude. I’ve been learning meditation and that helps keep me present. Back to the subject. Oh my daughter listens to that loud. Out of tune, music, popular 80s and 90s as an alternative to rock I just hate that shit.
My computer and work station are in the basement, and I once counted 30 trips up and down the stairs in a day. Hasn't seemed to help, however.

I sing and play classic rock, country and blues in my old fart band. I also do my own stuff.. I’m a legend in my own mind!.
Yep. Late in the 80's, I met my husband and simply lost all my interest in popular music. I don't even remember the last new popular song I liked. We were all opera and symphony, with some of the Broadway musicals and standards.
I got a taste for roots country, late in the 90's, as well. If something has a taste of bluegrass or zydeco, it's good for me.
.
I can't stand Bon Jovi.I saw Bruce in Philly 15 times when he was just starting out...I can't even liste to him; now that he has gone full blown LIB.
I remember when he critized GWB...it was the same week he bought his daughter a MIL $ horse.
The popular music today is all pitch corrected. It takes all the emotion out, IMO..

Pettys just Whitman with a bit harder edge, but, now that I think about it, at least Whitman had a decent vocal rangeYou are probably a Slim Whitman fan.![]()
