8.5 milliseconds after Trump proposes UHC, the rubes will turn on a dime and back it 100000 percent.
"Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia."
"As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland." - Donald J. Trump, 2015.
Donald Trump in his book The America We Deserve:
We must have universal healthcare...I'm a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one. We should not hear so many stories of families ruined by healthcare expenses...
Doctors might be paid less than they are now, as is the case in Canada, but they would be able to treat more patients because of the reduction in their paperwork..
The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than Americans. There are fewer medical lawsuits, less loss of labor to sickness, and lower costs to companies paying for the medical care of their employees. If the program were in place in Massachusetts in 1999 it would have reduced administrative costs by $2.5 million. We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing.
Donald Trump on Larry King the first time he ran for President:
I'm quite liberal, and getting much more liberal, on health care and other things. What's the purpose of a country if you're not gonna have defense and health care? If you can’t take care of your sick in the country, forget it, it’s all over. So I'm very liberal when it comes to health care. I believe in universal healthcare.
Can promise you that won't be the case.
Our Stuttering Incontinent Celery Stalk has us on track for 40 trillion by 2028.
We can't afford anything.
He's still promising his own version of Obamacare. Like why TF are Republicans supporting someone who wants a national healthcare plan at all?
Trump vetoed 1 spending bill in 4 years. Signed 12 cr's and like 4 omnibus bills. He doesn't even care.
Agreed.
His deficits ex 2020 were better than Obama's and Bidens.
But it was Bush that got the ball rolling and it's only been picking up steam.
Trumps deficits grew from year 1 to 2 to 3. I have launched on MAGA repeatedly about this.
Not at all. I don't mind a conversation about a state run program (i.e. Romneycare), but all you have to do is look at the lineup of losers we have in congress and know we don't want those morons in charge of health care.
Trump's spending was more than all other presidents combined, With the exception of Obama. Obama spent $8 trillion in 8 years. It only took Trump 4 years to spend that much.
But I think it was Reagan who really got the spending rolling. He was the first to spend more than a trillion. Plus he got the fed to start lowering interest rates and he cut taxes.
The Fed's high interest rates where to help keep the value of the USD in check. It's kind of weird way of doing it, but it work pretty well. With higher interest rates, the government couldn't really borrow as much money.
But that was back in a time where most Republicans and democrats were somewhat conservative and realized that destroying the USD value would have a disastrous affect on our manufacturers ability to compete in global markets.
After Reagan is when we started losing a lot of jobs in this country. It was that huge sucking sound that Ross Perot talked about.
I agree 100%. When I was trucking, just prior to Obamacare getting signed into law, I asked a lot of Canadian drivers if they liked their healthcare system. And almost every one of them were fine with it.
So a system like that would work, if only we had the right people in charge of it.
Our welfare, military & foreign aid spending keeps us from having so many better things. Better roads, better healthcare, better everything.
Unfortunatley is S.S. and Medicare that's going to keep us there for a while.
As for Canadian Truckers, I don't know.
I know a lot of Canadians don't like the government system. That is why private plans are pretty prevelant.
They said they were "fine with it." Especially explaining how I was paying like $800 a month (before the ACA), they seemed to like their plans a lot more.
One thing is for sure, that a lot of folks forget about now, is how rapidly health insurance cost were rising prior to the ACA.
SS money is high, that's for sure. I'm on SS. I haven't been on it long. I calculated that they'd have to pay me for like 14 years before I get reimbursed for all I've paid in. I'll probably be dead before that, so they'll still come out ahead.
I know many MANY people who died just prior to receiving a dime.
Maybe that's why they won't cure some diseases.
Yep, and Canadians had to go all the way to their national supreme court to get that private insurance. It used to be outlawed.Something like 80% of Canadian Companies offer a private health insurance perk as part of compensation.
Goes to show you just how they feel about their government program.
Tucker Carlson or Douglas Macgregor.and biden and trump fell over dead(you know, since the voters cant nominate decent people) who would you support to replace them?
Haley? Desantis? Newsome? I doubt harris, because none of you liked her until the DNC told you to.
What about that Clinton bitch?
Trump is far left. He's always been far left. It amuses me his supporters haven't caught on yet.
I guess I should not be surprised since the same people don't know Gabbard is as socialist as Sanders.
All they see are her tits from a bikini photo spread that wasn't even her. These are not deep thinkers.
Tulsi Gabbard backed Sanders in 2016.
She supports the Green New Deal.
She supports reparations for slavery.
She wants a $15 minimum wage.
She believes college should be free.
She supports banning offshore drilling.
She supports closing down all existing nuclear power plants.
She supports a ban on assault weapons.
She supports Medicare For All.
Healthcare For All
People Before Profits & Politics "People Before Profits". An age-old socialist slogan.
Racial Justice
Hold Wall Street Accountable
“We must break up the big banks, reinstate Glass-Steagall, and get our economy back to working for the benefit of all Americans.”
Second Amendment Rights & Gun Safety
“We don’t have to wait for answers to these questions for Congress to pass legislation already supported by a majority of Americans, like universal background checks, closing the gun show loophole and reinstating a federal ban on military-style assault weapons.”
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/policy-2020/climate-change/nuclear-power/
Gabbard is no longer running for president. “No, I do not support new nuclear power plants and am in favor of phasing out nuclear power,” Gabbard told The Post. She said she supports ending “subsidies or waivers to the nuclear power industry, which should itself be completely responsible for paying for its own insurance and paying the long term cost for safe storage of nuclear waste over centuries.”
Candidate positions highlighted
Here's a bill cosponsored by Tulsi:
H.R.40 Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act To establish a commission to study and consider a national apology and proposal for reparations for the institution of slavery.
As president, I’ll tackle climate change by ending subsidies to big fossil fuel and agribiz corporations, ban offshore drilling, harness innovation to create jobs in renewable energy, provide better opportunities for our farmers, and ensure every American has clean air and water. :
Id nominate John the Port O let Manand biden and trump fell over dead(you know, since the voters cant nominate decent people) who would you support to replace them?
Haley? Desantis? Newsome? I doubt harris, because none of you liked her until the DNC told you to.
What about that Clinton bitch?
She has something Bernie doesn't. I don't know if that's guts or youth, but we can be fairly certain she won't endorse Clinton or any similar nominee. She's totally unacceptable. She's a socialist to the bone. She's a female version of Bernie Sanders.
All that has been hashed over. I am not sure what you are saying about Trump. Here are the numbes......

Trump was at 670 Billion , 780 and 980 his first three years. The 3.13 is pandemic ans is the Biden number of 2.78. But Biden has been over a trillion every year since then and this year he is on track for 2.5 trillion. You'll need to explain how you got your 8. You can see where Obama was at (over 1 trillion) but it was getting better.
Nobody is sayins squat anymore.
You're talking about deficits. I'm talking national debt.
The debt is cumulative deficits.
There are others who try to massage the story to make their buy look better. But deficits are debt. There are some other factors....like The government had about 1.6 trillion in cash when Trump left office...which does not get factored in.
Biden has been screwing us coming and going.
