If Trump had truly wanted to get a deal done with Ukraine, he...

...wouldn't have held a presser right before the signing. It was an ambush.

Change my mind. I want to hear both sides explain why or why not.

Personally, it was a childish display from both sides. Zelensky's body language, Vance's demands for thanks. The media questions about Zelensky not wearing a suit. It was all pretty childish.

Was there some hidden tactic behind that farce? You tell me. Because now Zelensky is signaling his willingness to sign the deal.
I posted on other threads on this topic that my gut told me Zelensky was ready to sign the deal he had agreed to but somebody got to him before the Oval Office meeting.

Now turns out my gut was right. Zelensky met with several key Democrats before going to the Oval Office and it is reported they told him to refuse the deal.

Now I think he has thought that over or is being pressured by his own people to rethink that and he may in fact be ready to deal.

The press was there because it was a momentous occasion ending an increasingly deadly and destructive war with no possibility of winning it without massive outside help. That made it appropriate for the press to be there.

It's time to investigate where all of these corn pop hundreds of billions went to.
In dimocrap pockets.

Lettuce not forget, there is almost certainly some high-animosity between OMB and Z due to the 2019 Phone Call scandal that scum of the Earth dimocrap FILTH used in that phony-as-fuck impeachment hoax.

So, to avoid any misunderstanding, do you support giving more money to Ukraine?
If it was up to me, yes. I think it’s a very delicate situation over there and and I think we had been doing a good job of standing up to Russia without getting sucked into another war ourselves.

With that said, I think it’s understandable for the currently administration to want to pull funds out of that conflict because we have been spending a lot on it. But if that’s what the Trump administration wants to do, then just say that.

Criticizing Zelensky for not being thankful enough, calling him a dictator, and making fun of what he wears indicates that the administration is trying to squirm out of supporting Ukraine. It’s a complete diplomatic disaster and our allies are right to criticize us for it. Total embarrassment.

So what was the problem with Zelensky’s military gear?

Asking how do you trust Putin is not being an asshole. Putin has broken every cease fire and agreement with Ukraine it has made.
You can’t trust him but you can hopefully contain him. WTF does Zylenski think we’re going to do, attack Russia and get rid of Putin? He needs to get his head out of his ass and realize he’s not getting everything back.

Nobody’s asking us to attack Russia. Just send Ukraine what it needs.

Having US workers in Ukraine will do absolutely nothing. Not a single employee will be in Ukraine if fighting were to ever erupt again. There ways both countries can avoid this. Putin also still hasn't agreed to any terms. He still wants Ukraine to demilitarize or there is no deal. So...tell me how exactly would there have been peace?

Before the invasion all that was being asked was a simple agreement not to join NATO.
Now would that definitely have stopped the invasion I don't know.... But it should have been tried. It sure is hell couldn't have hurt to say look we have no intentions of joining NATO at this point.

If a large complex of workers were present and to be clear a mining operation of that size would require several thousand people to be on site...... If hostilities broke out and there was any danger to the American citizens there it would be a legitimate reason to land troops with or without the UN Charter agreement.
