If Trump had truly wanted to get a deal done with Ukraine, he...

It was clearly an ambush.

The Trump administration is looking for an excuse to get out of supporting Ukraine so they went with this ridiculous talking point about Zelensky not being thankful enough.

It was ridiculously stupid, planned, and a complete embarrassment in front of the entire world.

So, to avoid any misunderstanding, do you support giving more money to Ukraine?

And the fat-ass reporter who heckled Zelensky over “disrespecting” Trump by not wearing a suit was some unknown reporter from some far-right fringe called Real American Voices or something

That was some hard-hitting Pulitzer level journalism right there. Glad our President let him in the press room.

Susan Rice for starters

Yesterday, Susan Rice said of the Trump-Zelensky meeting, "There is no question this was a set up." She revealed full knowledge of the mineral agreement, complained that it didn't include "concrete" security agrees (meaning, apparently, commitment of US troops on the ground if conditions merit), and then mischaracterized Trump's behavior, counting on most Americans to not have watched what transpired over the entire hour in the Oval Office.

That isn’t anything. MAGA fever dream!

There are videos all over YouTube of the conscription abductions. And it's a well-known fact that the elections have been canceled.

According to Ukraine's own newspaper system political parties have been dissolved and prosecuted.

Trump is an insecure child, and Z broke The Big Rule.

Zelenskyy Forgot the First Rule of Dealing With Trump

Flattery will get you everywhere. Insults will get you kicked to the curb.
Z came to sign deal. Then backed out in the press conference trying to manipulate the Cease Fire Deal.

Talks later with Russia to hammer out details.

Guess he doesnt want Cease Fire and he just lost the largest contributer to his cause.

Too had for him the Launderer Biden was gone.

That's an excellent stance to have. Take a side, but not to a point where it compromises your objectivity. I need to get back to that myself. Thanks for reminding me of it.

It's difficult sometimes ... but I have had my head handed to me on enough occasions to realize that the truth of a matter doesn't always align with what we prefer.

Yes that means occasionally admitting to someone you've been debating with heatedly that they are correct....lol.

Human nature works against us quite often in that regard.

I think he would have been a bit more composed if he wasn't caught by surprise.
He was embarrassed and struck back because of it.

Why would anybody go on TV in a foreign land to face two Titans, BUT without any support--- fighting troops , equipment and even ammunition .

What degree of insanity prompted this madness from our inappropriately dressed and coke snorting Midget ?

It would be wise for you to assume for the next almost four years, that it will go exactly as Trump wants it to go.
Works on the assumption that this is good governance.

I'm sure Trump will turn everything he touches into shit, but why do you think this is good for the country.

Oh, yeah. You've hit the nail on the head with that one. It is a very unique feature of Donald Trump that he does not react well to insults from people that he is trying to help. Very much unlike Obama, Biden, and Clinton, who enjoyed being insulted by dependents of the United States.

No doubt the Democrats he met with told him, "Don't just meekly sign the mineral deal. Link it to "security gaurantees," and inist that Trump do more for your country."

I guess he really does not understand that elections have consequences. Or maybe he does, which is why he don't want any . . .

...wouldn't have held a presser right before the signing. It was an ambush.

Change my mind. I want to hear both sides explain why or why not.

Personally, it was a childish display from both sides. Zelensky's body language, Vance's demands for thanks. The media questions about Zelensky not wearing a suit. It was all pretty childish.

Was there some hidden tactic behind that farce? You tell me. Because now Zelensky is signaling his willingness to sign the deal.

How was Zelensky's body language childish? In what way is body language itself a sign you're being child like? Why not mention how Trump was doing a silly voice in order to mock Zelensky above everything else? Body language? LOL

One thing is absolutely clear. Trump is a horrible negotiator and deal maker. When dealing with tyrants and dictators he will literally bend over backwards to make a deal as favorable as possible to them and as least favorable to the US as possible. When dealing with allies, Trump suddenly mister all bluster tough guy LOL

Is he really trying to "help" Zelensky, or is his motive simply to help himself and make himself look good? Why would democrats need to "tell" Zelensky what he's know for the last 3 years now?

My feeling on it, from what we have seen is that Trump has been thinking that ZELENSKY was going to be the one that was most difficult to get to agree to the deal and would need to be pushed hard.

And, with Zelensky's reaction, I think that Trump was proven RIGHT about that.

Oh my! Is he in his jim jams?!

Trump was up front and open about the details of everything BEFORE Friday. They were all very clear. Zelensky came here anyway. He shouldn't have come if he didn't agree with Trump.
