I'm white but when it comes to reparations, I see it as being more than just about slavery. There's that whole era of discrimination that went on after the end of reconstruction period.

As far as reparations in the form of cash, economic researchers cite that 97% to 99% of Black consumer spending ends up in the hands of non-Black corporations.

I've heard it said that the best investment one could make was to invest in yourself. Given that, programs such as the United Negro College Fund seem worthwhile. According to their website UNCF each year provides $62million in scholarships.

I've never heard anyone explain sufficiently just how those who would (very theoretically) qualify for these imaginary reparations would be determined.

I have a plan. Anu African American only not blacks who have benefitted firm DEI or affirmative action, been involved in the court system or committed crimes, is on welfare, and AA rap stars and athletes worth millions is exempt from reparations.

If that's true ( and I assume you cannot back up that claim), that would be an absurd level of bias on the part of the judges, to say that the charges are not harsh enough before the trial even began.

Yes, when you have such a large fraction of the federal criminal enforcement services tracking down grandmas who followed the crowd into the Capitol - a building owned by American taxpayers, not the Democratic Party - then of course they will find a lot of such "criminals."

They tried to protest a rigged election. The protest got out of hand and anyone - including the 27 paid agents of the FBI who were there - who committed an act of violence should have been charged.

They were charged and given sentences far out of line with what other protesters in the year between March 2020 and March 2021 were given.
