Fact.You made the claim.
I'm asking what black man you are talking about. Are you claiming that there are no black men?
Rapists, murderers, cop assaulters, or child molesters?
Sorry Unkotare. I don't have the time to give you a full explanation of how the English language works.I'm asking what black man you are talking about.
I agree with the “40 acres and a mule” that should have been paid to freed slaves. So y'all want to illegally use government force to steal money from people who never owned slaves, and give it to people who were never slaves themselves?? Yeah, that makes sense, lol...
What if the person you are stealing the money from today is a descendant of a Union Soldier who was killed in the Civil War fighting to free the slaves??
Also, since it was African blacks that originally enslaved and sold the people who were then purchased by slave traders - who often times were black themselves - should the descendants of those slave traders be tracked down and be forced to pay the descendants of the people they sold into slavery??
What about the slave traders today?? The Democrat Party abets all manner of human trafficking and sex slavery - should all Democrats be forced to pay all of people and families affected by these despicable activities??
You leftists, there's no end to your lunacy.
You don't have the ability.Sorry Unkotare. I don't have the time to give you a full explanation of how the English language works.
Stop the train! How does a black person know they had a slave ancestor when so many don't even know who their father is???
This is HUMOR, RIGHT?Really? How racist of you!
Do you not know that blacks are far more vulnerable to being imprisoned and even sentenced to death than whites? Are you really that unaware?
So you propose that a black man, wrongly convicted of a crime based on an eyewitness identification from a white person who has been heard to say "they all look alike to me," should now be denied reparations when he is clearly one of the people who has suffered the worst from the legacy of slavery?
It is humor, but I can guarantee you that the left would say exactly that with no humor at all. This is HUMOR, RIGHT?
Many whites in the American frontier started out with nothing but a mule and 40 acres, and became successful farmers and ranchers until their descendents finally sold their forty acres, plus whatever other land they acquired to a developer for millions.I agree with the “40 acres and a mule” that should have been paid to freed slaves.
My problem with reparations is why, after 8 generations, does your generation deserve to be paid for the wrongs to ancient ancestors?
Why wouldn’t your children and grandchildren also deserve reparations?
I strongly disagree with just handing out money. However, as you point out, the idea is to fix a problem and investing in the future is one way to do it.I'm white but when it comes to reparations, I see it as being more than just about slavery. There's that whole era of discrimination that went on after the end of reconstruction period.
As far as reparations in the form of cash, economic researchers cite that 97% to 99% of Black consumer spending ends up in the hands of non-Black corporations.
I've heard it said that the best investment one could make was to invest in yourself. Given that, programs such as the United Negro College Fund seem worthwhile. According to their website UNCF each year provides $62million in scholarships.
There's also the problem of blended ancestry. In addition, some of my Irish and Scottish ancestors were dragged over as indentured servants then left here. How to fix that? LOLI agree with the “40 acres and a mule” that should have been paid to freed slaves.

To be fair, indentured servants weren't "dragged over." They entered into an agreement. Some of my family got here that way. There's also the problem of blended ancestry. True about it being an "agreement", but often it was a Hobson's Choice. To be fair, indentured servants weren't "dragged over." They entered into an agreement. Some of my family got here that way.
Unfortunately true for too many Americans. The real question about reparations is this: Since it will never happen, what motivates some politicians and self-declared "influencers" to maintain the fiction that it is possible? The answer is not pretty, and it reflects a disturbing level of cynicism about contemporary American Black people. Are they truly that stupid? The answer is obvious.
I vaguely remember a cartoon that was popular in my youth where one of the characters had a pull-cart that was pulled by a goat. The driver of the cart had a long pole to which a carrot was attached by a string at the end. He would dangle the carrot in front of the goat, who kept going, pulling the cart, in a perpetual attempt to get the carrot.
And that pretty much illustrates the reparations movement in the U.S. today.
LIfe is better then when Biden was presidentUnfortunately true for too many Americans.
However, anyone who thinks this tactic only applies to African-Americans is an idiot since it's exactly the same one the Pedo President uses on his followers.
