I thought I'd hear about fire and brimstone and pitchforks and all those images with which we are all familiar.

My dad said hell is "eternal separation from God".

I find that chilling.

Yes it was.

It was Paul - wasn’t his name originally Saul or Simon? - who started it all.

His name was Saul and he was a persecutor of Christians. He was on his way to Damascus to persecute more Christians when Jesus performed an intervention on him.

Paul then became the most avid messenger of Christianity.

As they say, there's nothing like the zeal of a convert.

Yes, that’s true. He chose Jews to follow the Law (613 commandments), not others.

He goes easier on the non-Jews: you only have seven. They are known as the Noahide Laws.
