Great example.
I'm a meat cutter (35yrs) and I serve the public! I certainly know that type. They think we have a bottomless meat cooler and or have cows always waiting in line to be slaughtered right out the back door. They dont understand the supply chain, or us being out of something, or that it can take a few days for a shipment to arrive. They think a 30x20ft cooler can hold an infinite supply of several thousand items. They are people who really incapable of processing facts, only what they want or think SHOULD be. They look at you in disbelief and ask you all pie-eyed, "WHYYYY don't you have any left??" They are clueless how the world is really set up. They live in a delusional world of entitlement where they think everything will be handed to them whenever they want it no matter what.
Serving the public, especially when it's with a critical resource like food, you really get to know the different types of people and how they must think about many other aspects of life as well.
