I really have to ask…what the hell is wrong with these people ? Why can’t they just leave others alone to live their lives as they choose ? Same sex marriage has been the law of the land in all 50 states for nearly a decade. It has been legal in some states and in other countries for much longer. It’s really not much of an issue anymore . Married same sex couples inhabit nearly every community across the country. They have become part of the fabric of society. They own homes, have families, hold jobs, pay taxes , volunteer in their towns and are good neighbors. Most people don’t even notice them and those who do don’t care . They bother no one

I challenge these people to provide and evidence at all that same sex marriage has in any way been detrimental to society , or to them personally . There is absolutely no reason for them to seek to upend the lives of these people and take from them that which they can take for granted . The only explanation for this is the creeping scourge of Christian Nationalism that seeks to impose their distorted and cruel suede Christian beliefs and values on others .

Same-sex marriage was just the first step.

It was a relaxing of standards to allow further relaxing of standards in the future.

Now they're trying to make what used to be considered deviant behavior not only normal but favored and protected.

The first question that was asked when SSM advocates started court actions to get their rights was would it lead to normalizing pedophilia and trans behavior......and of course the advocates wanted to change the subject immediately. They claimed that would never happen, but here we are dealing with teachers teaching anal sex in school and encouraging children to change their sex.

Give me a break with that slippery slope hogwash ! That pedophilia crap is really old and stupid. Who is it exactly that wants to legalize it or normalize ? There may be a jackass or two out there who wants to but that has nothing to do with gay marriage and you certainly can’t establish a cause and effect relationship. pederasts and pedophiles mentally ill and most do not have the capacity to have a health adult relationship.. They are not the gay people who are getting married and enjoying an age appropriate relationship. They are fixated on a certain age child -sometimes without regard for the gender of the victim.

As for Trans people , they have always been around . They just went largely unnoticed and written off as cross dressers. When the bigots lost the fight on marriage, they needed a new target for their hatred and wrath and trans people became fair game. What you see happening not is not trans people being embolden by marriage equality . And it is not gay people pushing for trans rights. There is actually something of a rift between trans and gay people in the LGBT community

What you see is trans people fighting back because they are constantly under attack They have become more visible and militant out of necessity. It has nothing to do with gay marriage. Yes norms and standards of sexuality have changed. They always do over time . That is why gay marriage has become acceptable and seen as normal by the vast majority of people. You are an aberration. Those standards. Those values, did not change because of gay marriage. The natural evolution of society made gay marriage possible. You’re putting the cart before the horse
