I wonder why most beer drinkers never heard of mead or ale

ale is on the shelves right next to the beer and mead isnt regularly available everywhere if it were I would drink it,
if fact I have several quarts of honey in the basement I plan on making some with

I don't drink, but even I've heard of mead, I went somewhere in England once where it was popular, Lindesfarne or somewhere.

Well I doubt they know where the first Viking raid was. But it's up in the north closer to Viking lands and they have a lot of names ending in -by and -kirk.

I drink beer and I have heard of them. I considered making Mead back in the days when I used to brew my own beer. Never did get around to doing it.

I honestly don't see the attraction of mead. Like I said, even good mead basically taste like cheap sweet wine.
