It doesn't work that way. If the person dies from a cold, the cold IS the cause of death. If he died from cancer, then cancer is the cause of death.If a person has Cancer and eventually dies from a cold, we don't say the person died of a cold.
We don't say, he died from a cold, but he also had high blood pressure. So let's tick the high blood pressure box on this one, we'll tick off the cold box next time.
