I very much enjoyed Dilbert as well. I’ve worked in several situations that had parallels to the storyline of the comic, and it was always interesting to see how they played out in the strip compared to real life.

I also like the Dilbert Comic Strip.

I think my favorite was That Far Side, but there are many other's that I like. One of the major reasons I used to get the Sunday Paper was for the comic section.. or what my grandparents called "the funnies". The Sunday Paper is too expensive now and looking up the comics on the "interweb" just isn't the same as getting them in a news paper.

They would be centers of civilization, known for art galleries, museums, theaters, concert halls, book stores, and atmospheric restaurants and taverns.

It would be possible to watch a movie or a play, or to attend a symphony concert or a ballet, that ended at 10:00 pm, walk two miles to get home, and be perfectly safe.

In the downtown areas of our cities, one could hear the sound of children playing safely, not gun fire and police sirens.
