Yeah, cause batteries are so much better for the environment.

According to the worldAccording to you. Of course you've stopped using anything that uses oil in any way, right?![]()
According to the world
Except for Republicans
Good luck getting an answer. When it comes to this question, those on the left talk in riddles. Even Greta Thunberg herself has never answered the question. The best she can say is that we need to get serious and it seems like no matter what is done, she claims we aren't getting serious, without ever defining what serious actually means. However, there is some good information in the Green New Deal, which they wanted to spend over 6 trillion dollars on, saying that that is just the beginning. I can't remember it all but part of it was renovating every home and building in the country (including skyscrapers) with new AC/Heat technology. I think getting rid of meats was in there. Switching over to all EV's was probably in there, even though that is actually fraught with numerous problems not only in cost and infrastructure but in pollution itself. It also includes getting rid of all fossil fuels and having stiff regulations on every single company that pollutes, even though all of those costs would lead to higher inflation (which they seem to conveniently not talk about). In fact, the massive spending and regulations would make today's inflation look like child's play. The price we would have to pay to save the planet would destroy the planet. Can someone please tell me? What is your utopian world? How exactly should we all be living? Give us your plan.
Thanks
It is not nonsense, it is proven technology that is increasingly taking over our energy needs
What IS nonsense is believing our energy future lies in oil and coal.
All automotive R&D is invested in Electric Vehicles. Not just the US but the world
Wait a minute. Is that a fire I see? Fire pollutes. We would also have to give that up.
You claim it is not hard but then you fail to answer the OP's question.20 percent reduction on fossil fuels gradually increasing
It is not hard
That is his answerYou claim it is not hard but then you fail to answer the OP's question.
Making EV's pollutes, especially when it comes to the batteries. And, we don't have anywhere near the infrastructure to handle it all. And, all of this increases inflation higher than it is now and increases income inequality and racism because the poorer will not be able to afford EV's, which means only the rich white people will have cars and the poor will be forced to use public transportation. It is not nonsense, it is proven technology that is increasingly taking over our energy needs

And they still haven't gotten to the point you can charge a battery as fast as you can fill a tank of gas.
In any non fossil fuel scenario Nuclear would have to take over most of the base load, not wind/solar.

You do realize that those windmills use one hell of a lot of oil, don't you?If you don't winterize them before the storm they don't work either. The wind farms along the coast worked just fine.
Crock of crap. The biggest part of the world pollutes astronomically more than the US does. Take just China and India for two.Stop whining
Much of the world is way ahead of us on alternative energy, we should be #1
How much compared to an oil fueled power plant? You do realize that those windmills use one hell of a lot of oil, don't you?

China is also building more fossil fuel plants. We are moving to alternative fuels because we want to, China is doing it because they have to.
Their air and water pollution have become dangerous to the population. They still use coal because they have nothing to take its place…yet
China is leading the world in solar energy R&D and production.
It is a position the US should have.
They are also leading the world in EV technologyChina is also building more fossil fuel plants.
Wait for them? This is what the left wants. They want the US to go back to not heating or air conditioning our homes, wearing animal skins, eating berries, and walking for travel - while China does just the opposite.Doesn’t mean we should not be clean while we wait for them
