Trump pardons Henry Cuellar

You mean like when Trump sold an audience with the president, starting at $1 million a head.

And not for his campaign, but to put directly into his own pocket.
It was for MAGA Inc, His super pac.......all in conformity with campaign law.

'The Marener always rings twice'

.

.

.
The dude took $600,000 in bribes. How could Trump not pardon someone for doing the same thing he does?

"I would have gotten more than he did. I'm the king of the art of the deal."
.
Trump get a commission?

The guy is a crook. Of COURSE Trump pardoned him
Just another person who shouldn't have been pardoned by Trump.

Corruption

Rod Blagojevich - "On February 10, Trump pardoned former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who was convicted of multiple political corruption charges that included seeking to sell an appointment to then-President Barack Obama’s old Senate seat. Trump had commuted Blagojevich’s 14-year sentence during his first term, and the pardon cleared his record. "

Brian Kelsey - "On March 11, Trump pardoned former Republican Tennessee state Senator Brian Kelsey, who was two weeks into a 21-month prison sentence for an illegal campaign finance scheme that he pleaded guilty to in 2022. He later tried to rescind his guilty plea."

Scott Jenkins - "On May 27, Trump pardoned Scott Jenkins, the former sheriff of Culpeper County, Virginia, who was convicted of accepting more than $75,000 in bribes in exchange for appointing people as auxiliary deputies. Jenkins was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in 2024. "

Henry Cuellar (Dem) and his wife have been pardoned. Trump claims Biden went after them for speaking the truth. I'm sure this will go over quite well with the left.

On Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump accused the Biden administration of targeting Cuellar, even though he is a Democrat, due to the lawmaker’s position on immigration.

Fortunately for the Dems ... this man will likely keep his Democrat seat in the midterms. Mind boggling. Is anyone sure that the Campaign Trump hasn't been replaced by an AI Robot remotely controlled by AIPAC? We currently live in Bizzaro World.

There is exactly nothing fortunate for Dems in having a criminal on Trump's leash getting back in power.

I don't know what's in it for you MAGAs to be enbling such brazen corruption.

What does Trump have to do for you to finally speak out against it and hold him accountable for something?

Apparently ... you haven't read most of my posts concerning my disappointment in Trump. I currently consider him a Conman which isn't a popular stance with most of my old, slightly-right-of-center neocon friends. I voted for Campaign Trump. Had I known what his ACTUAL plans were ... I would have cast my vote for a mud fence. I certainly wouldn't have voted for Heels-Up Harris.

But it is fortunate for the Dems. They want Congress back and they'll likely get it back. They need as many seats as possible. Had this Dem been imprisoned, perhaps a Conservative could have taken the seat. Too late now.

So you'd rather vote for a criminal Republican than a straight arrow Democrat?

There was next to zero chance a Republican would win this seat. Why the hell do you think Trump pardoned him and Adams?

I've never heard of a "straight arrow" Democrat. But I'm having trouble finding a "straight arrow" Republican as well. Thomas Massie and Rand Paul are the only two names that come to mind.

Glad He's the only president to ever do that.
Right, but there's a big difference between the pardons that previous Presidents have given out, to the pardons that Trump is currently giving out. Presdients have traditionally relied on a DOJ manual, and asked the office of the pardon attorney to review petitions for clemency. There have been individual times where a President may have strayed outside of these bounds, but the scale at which Trump is doing this is unmatched. And unlike previous Presidents, Trump has pardoned people with a financial return.
Trump pardons are much more politically based, and often bypass the Office of the Pardon Attorney.

Trump pardoned the people involved in the 2020 fake electors plot (remember, the time Trump tried to steal an election?). These people tried to defraud the United States and stop a transfer of power from one president to the next. These people and Trump have attacked Democracy. That's an attack on the United States itself, and none of you Republican voters care.

Trump has recently pardoned Changpen Zhao. Trump, when asked about this pardon said he doesn't even know who he is (LOL). In March 2025, a big investor puts a $2 billion stake into Binance (a company, which Zhao owns), and they say they are going to do this in crypto. At this point, the kind of cyrpto is not announced, but you guessed it, they invest through the newly released stable-coin released by Trump..... Trump's stablecoin was chosen for the $2 billion Abu Dhabi investment in Binance. The only reason to do it this way, would be to help the owner of the stablecoin, World Liberty Financial Group (Trump's company). They will make an estimated 60-80 million off this per year. Insane stuff. Then after this, Trump pardons Zhao, and on top of this, the UAE gets access to a bunch of advanced A.I chips. Remember how Jimmy Carter basically gave up his farm to avoid conflicts of interest?

And remember how hard you guys have gone in on Hunter Biden's laptop, that you don't even have any direct proof of? So you guys can't claim not really care about it, you obviously care about this kind of stuff if you go so hard on something you don't have evidence of, but is a fraction of what Trump has done here. Yet, Trump is doing this stuff out in the open? Talk about TDS....

It's actually shocking how much you guys let Trump get away with, and how much he treats you all like you are idiots. Crime is legal apparently.

Like I said, thank God He's the only one who ever did that.

For one thing, it's off topic.
It's on topic. It's about pardons, and is in response to an on-topic claim made by a commentor. If a defense of a pardon is that other presidents have done the same thing (normalizing something), then a response to begin debunking that should be allowed. I actually kept my response quite short, as there are a lot of other examples I can use in proof
