I honestly want to know. Why do some of you intelligent, thoughtful and logical people support Biden?

I truly would like to understand your thinking.
I have no argument with you regarding Trump being a braggart. A loud mouth. All those adjectives you come up with. But in my 60 years of working with bosses, the few that accomplished anything, i.e. got things done were like Trump! And Trump in 3 years because COVID devoured almost all of 2020 news, lives, etc. got things done!
Attached is a list of things Obama wanted and Biden wanted and some are happening now.
So I'm asking those few of you that look beyond the peccadilloes of Trump. Beyond his bragging, etc. and tell me how has Biden with 47 years of political experiences helped the country?
1) Look at today's gas prices: A year ago nationally $2.152... Today nationally $3.321 a $1.169 increase on 54%!

View attachment 553451
Why? look at the attached chart: Obama stopped for all purposes signing and Trump was increasing!
And these are just two charts showing the affect of Obama/Biden on our economy after Trump had done something that hadn't been done for 62 years by other presidents!
The United States Was Energy Independent in 2019 for the First Time Since 1957
So gas prices affect EVERYONE here but the attached sheet shows MORE ways Obama now Biden want to shut down our economy!
Why would any president want companies to go bankrupt? Obama did.
Why would any president want 500,000 people let go from 1,400 companies that pay $100 billion a year in taxes?
Why would any president want 34 million barrels of oil per month floating on the open ocean?
Truly those of you that I mentioned earlier that have some intelligence. Can't you look beyond the petty foibles of Trump and see HE GOT THINGS done in just 3 years! And by the way... some of you that are vaccinated... it was Trump's Operation Warp speed that got the FDA going to start in late 2020 vaccinations. Totally done by Trump!

It's not so much about Biden as it was about getting TrumPutin out of the White House. If he had been re-elected he'd be doing JACK SHIT to help Ukrainians fighting his owner and master.

I honestly want to know. Why do some of you intelligent, thoughtful and logical people support Biden?

Because they are not all that.

They are morons.

No, honey.
THESE are the morons.
And you were with them in spirit, so you're a fucking moron, too.

And the Republicans are electing morons to office. Unless you sincerely think that Hitler's police force were really called The Gazpacho. (Thank you, Marjorie Trailer Queen. Your idiocy is so fucking entertaining.)

I agree with suspicion of accuracy. What better source do you suggest?
And don't say unions' data as they are even more biased.
Where would you get numbers to counter BLS?

Now as far as "salaried" workers actually making less than hourly?
What is the average American Wage?
The average annual wage in 2019 in the US was $51,916.27, and the median annual wage was $34,248.45. The median wage is the wage “in the middle,” while average refers to the measure of central tendency for all the data.Aug 22, 2021
So using the average annual wage of $51,916.27 divided by 2,000 hours or $25.95 per hours.
Or the median salary hourly wage: $34,248/2,000 equals $17.12/hour again higher then minimum wage.
Now I didn't use 40 hours / week times 52 weeks...BECAUSE people get holidays and at least 1 week vacation!
PLUS 10 days is the average Paid Time Off in the United States private sector,
not including paid holidays and sick days.
You look around. You assess your own buying power. You remember what a dollar could buy ten years ago. You look at the almost comical income gap and you look and listen to the Politicians as they defend that kind of income while people are homeless in America. While Veteran's live on the street. And you hear all the self serving arguments by those same assholes against a $15 minimum wage and how it will destroy America's balance of power. And you hear the arguments about how over-taxed the destitute billionaires are despite the fact that tax laws are increasingly becoming Regressive every year. You look back to a time not so long ago when they were made to pony up a little more and forego their second yacht to help those that struggle under their rule. Under Clinton, there was a brief return to progressive taxation as was intended from the first box of tea thrown into Boston Harbor. And, none of the terrible forecast-ed collapse of the economy occurred, Quite the contrary. Came closest to a balanced budget in decades. Stock market did just fine, Rich still got richer etc. And you have to realize that for the rules makers and the uber wealthy, there will NEVER be enough! They won't be happy until they've got it all. Our Soc Sec and our pensions. Our healthcare, our labor unions, any and all aid to the poor. ANY proposals to even somewhat level the playing field is automatically labeled socialism as if that were the end of democracy or Communism to add an unfair evil connotation to helping our fellow man in his struggles. Or we get the argument of, "well. the economy is changing from Manufacturing to Hi tech and services and not grunt labor and if "they" aren't smart enough to reeducate themselves then, BOOHOO!" This while tuition rises exponentially and time away from work to attend school and the cost of childcare are roadblocks to success. Roadblocks that are summarily dismissed as too costly to include in the fiscal budget. This is what the working class faces. And the realization of that causes many to give up. And then they face ridicule rather than a glimmer of hope that OUR representatives could provide if they could only break ranks with their corporate masters on occasion.

Domino effect? Please tell us more, Professor. So, worker number two demands a raise? How horrible! And as Companies raise the prices on goods to offset the wage expenditures, the forces of the free market disappear and competition for the sale of those goods magically disappears too? You're so good at being the voice of corporations. You make their arguments for them against treating employees fairly. How about we lower the MW to $1.25? Good? That should result in lower prices right? Silly arguments are all you've got. BTW That's quite an entertaining little scenario you just painted. Silly but entertaining.

What I call honesty you call silly. But it's been proven before to your chagrin.

When Ronald Reagan seen the spike of American businesses leaving he country over union wages and tax laws, he took steps to remedy that. Not much is different today. When human labor costs more than moving or investing in more automation, that's what happens. Except now it's less of unions than it is government taking their place.

Yes, a doubling of minimum wage would have the same result as the big union days; companies would sooner look how to win the battle than to capitulate. We would have huge inflation, less jobs, and more automation investments in US companies that can't leave.

Simple Dude(t)

Have you researched and thus denied the Following?
Seriously, have you looked into ANY trump wrongdoing? Of Course NOT.

The Following:

1). Trump is a con man. Have you considered it?
2). Calls to Russia (Putin) are Great, IF, And only IF, you support USA.

I honestly want to know. Why do some of you intelligent, thoughtful and logical people support Biden?

Because they are not all that.

They are morons.
You so Bright.
tell me why you support this POS trump.,

Yeah, tell me all about Reagan. The guy who flipped real economic policy on its head. The initiator of Supply side. Geo HW Bush called what he was doing, VooDoo economics. And he was right as rain. And that terrible idea became a lead foot on the accelerator of huge income inequality. And unfortunately it hasn't changed with the exception of the Clinton years. Then right back to supply side and even Geo HW went along with it. And so the gap got wider faster. Because once corporate America suddenly saw their tax burden fall away as the onus shifted to the middle-class to bear the brunt of financing the budget, they knew they would never relinquish that position. They now understood that politics had changed to wildly favor the wealthy like never before. Reagan's plan was to say "fuck the unions!" and "fuck the workers!" This is working so well for me and for my wealthy friends and now we have the entire workaday middle class to support us and their families at the same time. It's not on us to save them, they're on their own. And as the middle class saw the results of those policies workers revolted and Reagan Busted the first of the unions. The ATCU.
Now they had to explain to the working man how they are "not" being royally screwed. And so the former 70%- over 90% tax rate on the highest earners, dropped dramatically to 28%. And they explained that away by use of more voodoo. They said, "Well, the top earners pay for 70% of all income taxes collected!" Never mind that social programs began to get stripped to offset the loss from the 10% no longer paying their fair share under a Progressive system of taxation. They neglected to say that the top 10% held by far the lions share of total income and under true progressive taxation, that budget being squeezed would be much larger and could have continued social programs and even expanded them. The key was the claim of the poor millionaires being overly taxed. Even the 28% figure is very nominal because the same top 10% write tax law and have rewarded themselves time and time again while denying the middle class an even break. They even have said that "hey! Many of the lower earners pay no tax at all!" "How can you claim we are not being fair?" But again they failed to mention that many of the top earners and corporations pay Zero too. They pay zero while raking in enormous profits and still raising prices for goods and services to the ones who are actually paying all of the bills. There are a million ways to spin that reality but no one can deny the economic classes drifting farther and farther apart. The wealthy have all of the power to maintain that relationship and the workers have no leverage at all. And yeah! That Chagrins me. LOL

Your people are in charge now. Go ahead, raise their taxes to 90% and see what happens. You thought the DumBama era was something, you ain't seen anything yet until you tax people and industry right out of this country. If you think there is a wealth gap now, wait until there are no jobs around and you actually do have only two classes of people.

I believe it was Sigmond Freud who said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results each time. I don't care. I'm retired now and sitting on the sidelines. The Democrat party has made policies that are making everybody miserable, so that's what gets people voting in our direction. Go all the way. Tax those evil rich people at 90% or anything close to that. I would love to see it.

Because we are intelligent, thoughtful and logical.
AGAIN YOUR opinion! And by making the above statement YOU are PROVING your lack of intelligence because "intelligent" people don't spout an opinion without some supporting "data"...i.e. facts! Where are your facts?

If that was true our economy and our country would have collapsed a long time ago because those were the rules for all time until Reagan, See how that works? You back your bullshit with evidence and not just a desire to be right. Your childish tantrums are getting you nowhere. You just look silly.

Not a tantrum at all. I come here for entertainment, not to get aggravated.

Before Reagan world wages were closer to US wages, so it didn't make financial sense to move to another country. By the time you include all the shipping costs, you'd be no further ahead. Travel was more dangerous as we didn't have satellites telling us the exact weather. Communications much more primitive that placed limitations on operating an overseas company.

Today a CEO can get up to the second stock market prices sitting on the toilet with his cell phone. They don't have to assemble upper management in one room somewhere to have meetings, they can Zoom those. Travel is safer than ever, so it's very easy to lose our wealthy and associated jobs than it was back in 1973.

I was a day trader for years. So I don't need that education from you. You love to tell people about what they already should know. Silly.

1957?....does anyone remember gas wars and gas stations giving away plates and selling gas at
20 cents per gallon, or less, to lure customers?

That was energy independent America.
Why were people so anxious to dump Donald Trump over board?

Democrats feared him and turned their 24 hour per day defcom propaganda blitz campaign on full blast.
And many people, like my college administrator brother, have taken the bait, hook line and sinker.

And look now where we are.

Oh...are you still alive? Who knew?

Trump had to go because his personality was crass and aggressive.
But mostly because he was doing things for America that the left couldn't stand or control.
Like making our borders more secure and this country more energy independent.

I applaud the left using billionaire's money to change state laws due to covid and heisting the
election.
Okay...there's the attention you so desperately want. Now fuck off.
