I gotta say, it's about time.

...says the guy who made heart eyes at the President he voted for when he gave 10-year-span blanket pardons to people who hadn't even been charged with a crime.

You can stop pretending you have any high-minded notions of justice.
Be sure to get back to me when you identify any crime those folks committed other than the crimes Hunter was involved in that never get prosecuted.

Meanwhile, no manner of absurd whataboutisms can excuse giving pardons to people who beat police officers.

Senate Republican Acknowledges That This Might All Be Very Illegal

While she has done little more than state facts, Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) is emerging as the only Republican member of Congress currently willing to call out the fact that Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s lawless DOGE crusade is stripping Republicans in the House and Senate of one of the main powers they possess as elected officials: to create agencies and fund the federal government.

Earlier this month, as TPM pressed Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill about Musk’s rampage — and got little but shrugs in response — Collins came forward to say she was “concerned” about the amount of power Trump had given the unelected billionaire. She warned then that many of DOGE’s actions — freezing congressionally allocated funds, firing government workers, probing sensitive taxpayer data — was “going to end up in court.”

Since then, no other Republicans have taken their rhetoric any further. A handful of Senate Republicans have subtly broken with the Trump administration to publicly discuss how important certain funds that have been frozen are to their constituents — like the handful who have been limply, publicly negotiating with the Trump administration to get back funding for crucial medical research in their state.

Collins doubled down during an interview with Politico Wednesday, going as far as suggesting that the Trump administration might be breaking the law with its recent DOGE actions.

I knew it would take something like this. That is, I knew there would come a time when congressional Repubs started doing the calculus on whether their quiescent silence regarding the trump admin's daily outrages would cause concern for their own electability. Sorry Sue, you lost any pretense to respect long ago.

Not that they are standing on principle, or the many national security concerns, or objecting to trump saying he is the arbiter of whether he has broken the law. No, they just don't want any fallout to jeopardize their re-election. Getting rid of these spineless cowards would be a boon for the nation were it not for the certainty their replacements would be worse. As hard to imagine as that is.
Trump is only doing what Biden did, sign a bunch of possibly illegal executive orders and let the courts hash it out. Biden signed many that he was told were probably illegal but he did it anyway.

They've been pardoned. Do you understand what that means? They can be called to testify against others -- and they won't have 5th Amendment protections to fall back on. And if -- when -- they commit perjury, they can be prosecuted for it.

You would, predictably and as programmed, screech they're being persecuted.
Meanwhile, no manner of absurd whataboutisms can excuse giving pardons to people who beat police officers.
Were you up in arms about BLMers not getting prosecuted for their crimes against police? No?

Then hush, you idiot child.

America is going to reward Trump accordingly.

Just wait until the truth hits them in the pocket.
I have doubts about some of these action by the Trump administration however I doubt solutions from the left are going to be nothing but the status quo that has screwed hard working Americans for decades. Also after the lies the Democrats have promoted for the last several years, I have no confidence in them or Republicans, I am still in the camp of cut spending, Republicans, and increasing taxes, Democrats. I ouldnt mind seeing a third party not promoted by the rich. The two major parties work for the rich, not the average American worker.

I do like the idea of slashing government waste but this way may not work as it is too much, too fast.

Which means we can expect to find some connections between her and illegitimate money passage. I thought you actually had something to post. Collins comes from a very liberal state and has managed to stay in office for a long time she has to say stupid shit. This is no exception.

I stopped reading at the word "Might".

Leftists live in alternate realities built on tall tales and narrations triggered by such things as TDS, propaganda, and their uncontrollable feelings.

When they say something exists they're dreaming, and when they say something might be they're dreaming. Everything is BS, but your kind never learn from it.
