The answer to that is easy, there are fewer and fewer reasons why quality candidates would even want to do the job anymore. As soon as you announce that you're running, you get an intense anal exam from the media looking for dirt and anything that could be considered disqualifying, because media figures (they're not journalists anymore) love nothing more than to be the next Pulitzer Prize winner that brings down a major politician. Then you get the opposition party that will exaggerate, smear, lie about, and distort everything you've ever done or said to affect your image. Let us not forget how Harry Reid lied about Mitt Romney's taxes and bragged about it.
Basically, you're looking at being hated by about half the population, especially if you're a Republican, because democrats have made an art form out of the politics of personal destruction.

You forgot the billions of dollars of damage, hundreds of injured, dozens killed in the riots of 2020 under Trump.
And of healing foreign tensions. You had the Abraham accords, which brought peace to Israel and the UAE, where the two parties could never go to war without having to transverse several countries to even face off against one another., Israel might as well sign a peace treaty with Brazil.

First, I'd like to say that these policies really aren't Biden policies. They are leftist policies. Biden hasn't really done anything differently than what any of those other Democrat clods would have done. Second, I disagree that if Trump were re-elected it would be impossible for Democrats to attack or oppose him. They have TDS and they will attack and oppose Trump long after Trump is gone.
